    Default Just a quick question

For anyone that had gestational dib, when you gave birth, how long after did you have to do the 12 fast 75g test again?
I have always been told that it's 6-8 weeks but on my booklet it's says day 4 before discharge???
This sounds a bit crazy to me. What if I have a natural birth and are allowed to go home do I have to hang around until day4. Also the issue of possibly being a little week from bleeding, hungry from bf.
Sorry about the rant, I will shut up now. Lol

I had to finger prick test for two days after (was on insulin). Then did my GTT between 6-8wks. That was what the diab educators, my endo and gp said.

Ok thanks. It's just confusing because it says day 4 fasting blood glucose level. I guess I will have to question it next time I ring.

Oh that sounds like where you take a morning reading on day four before breakfast. You can do that with your glucometer.

I was on a high amount of insulin overnight with dd. I had her at 7pm. By my reading the next morning my levels were back to normal
