It's my DS's name though! Second would by Flynn. We considered that for DS as well

I dont think I'd ever shorten Christian to Chris. But that's just me.

In order, my favourites would be Flynn, Christian, Blake and then Connor.

    Love Christian.

People will follow your lead with what you call him. If you call him Christian then everyone else will.
I would never have thought to shorten Christian to Chris either mainly because the start of Christian sounds like Crish rather than Chris.
    If that makes sense.

I have a Billy and was scared he would get Bill (it's so old-mannish) but we call him Billy and so does everyone else. No one ever calls him Bill.

I wouldn't go with Christian if you are worried about his name being shortened. Once they hit high school you will have no control over what his mates call him.

My ex was named Jonathan and his family insisted that was his name, yet none of his friends (or me) called him that - he was John to us! Not sure what his family actually thought but it was brought up quite a few times that they didn't know him as John - it was Jonathan.

    I vote Flynn personally

    Flynn then connor.
Blake I find effeminate for some reason and my ex was Christian so that's a no no for me.

    I love Tristan.

I know a Kristian, who only goes by Kristian... maybe the spelling makes a difference?

Flynn & Connor are nice too.

I'm not a fan of Blake, as it reminds me of Blake Carrington... so a bit old-man-ish.

I like Flynn and Blake because they can't be shortened. Conner can get Con. I like Christian but you do run a risk, though I wouldn't shorten it to Chris.

I don't agree. My DS is Zak and I always call him that but where ever we go (playgroup, daycare etc) people call him Zakie.
