    Default Can milk just dry up?

    I pump as I work pt. dd is 6 months next week in the morning I can pump and get minimum 50mls ( up to 150mls) I've barely got 10mls this morning

    As far as I'm aware it doesn't just dry up. There are certain medications that can contribute to your supply dropping.

    However expressing shouldn't be used as a indication of your supply.

    I could express 150mls each feed and then it gradually reduced to barely 50mls. Ds was still content when nursing still so I know my supply was fine. It just gets harder to express.

    Also some people can't express anything but have no problems bfing.

    Try not to stress. Drink plenty of water, eat well. Oats are a good thing to eat to boost supply if you think you need them.

    Another thing you can try while expressing is look at photos of dd, watch videos of them. Can help with let down etc.


    Eta: at six months ds started drinking less at each feed which could be the case with your dd and why you aren't expressing as much.
