Default Grey hair coming through a week after colour - help!

I lots of grey hair now around my ears and fringe line, I had my hair coloured a week ago and they are already showing through, not sure what people do to cover them for longer?

Grey doesn't hold colour very well. Do you go to hairdresser or do it yourself. You need a grey specific colour . Good luck x

I go to a hairdresser, she does base and 2 different coloured foils, should I suggest she colours the greys differently?

mine end up showing along the roots after about 3 weeks. I have bought a hair mascara from Priceline that I use to cover up the grey hairs until my next visit. I stretch it out to 8 weeks but I could easily get my hair coloured every 6 weeks.

Mine puts some stuff on it to hold the grey better, it gets painted on top. Seems to to the job, at about 6 weeks I'm ready to get my roots done again. It should last longer than a week...

I could have written this myself! My greys show through after 2-3 weeks, so I also use hair mascara to hide them until my next colour.

I'm subbing, I'm the same within a week of coloring be it hairdresser or do it myself and I'm grey again. Horrendous and expensive!!

It's awful isn't it, I remember the days where all i had to worry about was dark re growth.

Am going to try the hair mascara though and ask her to try something more to cover greys specifically next appointment.

I just went on Saturday and my hairdresser told me absolutely nothing she could do, I was unlucky that I went so grey so young and my re growth is too quick! Does not make me feel better or help at all, think I'll look at the hair mascara too.
