Ann no I can't say I'm getting pain in the breastbone, but my joints in the hips and knees throb all night. I know what you mean about trying not to sleep on the right side, it's so hard though.
Anyway, I've been in the kitchen cooking all day, went to the market and went to see the midwife. Was feeling perfectly fine, until about 40 minutes ago, when I started getting some excruciating cramps. I really don't know what they were, I've never had a baby before. But geez, that hurt. I haven't had one for about 15 minutes now. Just spoke to DH who saids to time them. And I've downloaded a contractions app. I guess I'd better be ready.

Whawo Panda, where's the pain?? With dd I started getting this excruciating cramp pain on a certain part of my tummy from 7 months and it wld always just be there! I wld end up on my 4s ( the only little relieving position ) and panting, it would last for good 10 minutes or so but had to be careful straight after otherwise it wld return. Wasnt really sure what it was, was it a ligament but I had it all the way til 9 months and that's how my labour started too. Yes it was excruciating, the first time it happened my mum was with me and she thought I started my labour ESP with the puffing breathing. Be careful and yes time yourself as you never know. How many weeks are you ??

Spidery don't laugh too hard love otherwise those stitches might get undone in the toilet when its your turn . The romantic things of being pregnant !

lotsa yes the pain is quite bad on the right and iam always rubbing it. Sometimes I stand in front of DH and tell him to hold my breasts up! And he goes wow it's heavy! And I say imagine walking around with it! I normally take off the bra at home because the breastbone pains even worse when I feel the bra digging in. I go for my pregnancy massage and she massages my breastbone and ribs it feels so great!

Lotsa and Ann - I just had the worse diarrhea (sorry tmi). What the hell? Maybe it was something I ate? I have no idea what that was. The pain felt like really bad period cramping but the top of my tummy feels a bit nauseas to.

Hope you're ok team panda. Although, many women report a pre-labour 'clean out'

Thinking of you Panda.... Last weekend I had the most awful stomach cramps and diarrhea. I was in so much pain, it was awful. I didn't really think it was labour, I wondered if it was a clean out like Ngaiz mentioned. I ended up ringing maternity at the hospital and she said pain around the top of your bump is usually tummy related and labour pain is much lower down. The midwife thought I had a tummy bug. I didn't think so until DS started throwing up 2 days later! It's all so scary and new. I'd ring the hospital or doctor if you are worried. Take care x

Team Panda - Ngaiz is right, diarrhoea is a sign of early labour..

Veritas - gorgeous nursery you've set up. Love the bedding and colours I can't sew but looking at what you've made I certainly wish I could!

Riss & Annerley - sorry to hear you're both experiencing heartburn too. Mine has gotten a bit better after I started taking meds. Riss, I read somewhere its best to sleep on your left which explains why its worse when you sleep on your right side. Hope it eases for you both.

As for me.... last day of work tomorrow - woo hoo!! Can't wait to sleep in, relax, listen to my calmbirth cds and get the nursery in order. Finally I'll be able to focus 100% on this new adventure I can't wait to begin.

Once again, I have to say how exciting everything has just become, we have 3 new mummies and babies! Although I still have a few weeks to go I thought I would share a bump pic. I got called tubby today by a Courier at work, I wasnt offended, but out of principle coming from a stranger I ripped into him, haha.

    34 weeks.
