Huge hugs Ann Such a worry that you don't need at this stage of pregnancy! I'm really hoping everything is ok but positive news that there is one well functioning kidney. I went to a scan today and since I read your post yesterday, I held my breath whilst they looked for the second kidney so hope they find yours too.

Spidery- sorry to hear about your bleed but glad it wasn't anything too serious. Such a worry though at the time! I only had a really small amount of brown when I wiped for a couple of hours on Monday and nothing since and the cramps have gone now too.

Keri- how exciting that your little one will be here within two weeks! At least you have a date to work towards getting the final things done before she comes and to also get lots of rest of course.

Lotsa- that's great that you are getting a couple of days rest, make the most of that! Hope the pain eases for you too! We set up our pram last weekend, it's so exciting seeing it all together, isn't it?

JJTiger- hope you feel better soon, I'm getting over a bug myself now too!

Rtkirk- great news about your placenta moving up, what a relief! Sounds like a nice size bub too. Hope the strep b isn't too much of a worry to you.

AFM: I had my 4d scan today and got 100% confirmation that we are having a little girl! She already weighs 1.8pounds so is a little over average in weight. She is measuring well for 25weeks overall except her head circumference is 24 and a half weeks, slightly smaller head sounds great to me! I have a larger than normal head and find it hard to get hats to fit so glad she takes after her dad there so far! Everything else looks perfect for our little one and the 4d scan was so cute!

ABH I've been getting frustrated feeling really hungry, but not being able to eat much at any one time because I feel like I physically cannot fit any more food in my stomach! I think it's just where bub is sitting/pressing.

Ob has booked me in for the ECV (turning) next Weds, and if that doesn't work then I have a tentative c-section date of the 31st of March! Kinda scary that she's quite probably going to be here in 19 days

Wow Arlais that's so soon. I hope bubs cooperates and turns for you.
Hope you enjoy your rest Lots. I find myself so exhausted at the moment that as soon as I get home from work I am napping on the couch. cool pram.
ABH yeah I have a full feeling too but at the same time still hungry. It's so weird. But I can't fit much in so I am trying to eat small things throughout the day. I try to be careful cause heartburn is a pain.
Congrats on the scan Annerley. A smaller head sounds awesome at the moment. Glad she is measuring well.
Feel better JJ. Hope you get over your bug soon.
I am a bit worried about the strep b Annerley. My ob played it down but if it wasn't a concern why would they test for it? My midwife said that babies can get v bad pneumonia in the worst cases. I have a one in 1500 chance of it happening. Not a fan of those odds.

Rtkirk-as long as the give you IV antibiotics (I forget which one) bub will be fine. I know its difficult but try not to worry yourself too much about it.

Please don't worry too much about the strep b ladies. My sister had it with 3 out of 4 of her babies with absolutely no issues.

The only thing you have to keep in mind is you should be heading straight in to hospital when labour starts so they can hook you up to IV antibiotics, so no mucking around at home waiting for contractions to become more frequent.

Got my 1 hour Glucose Challenge Test this afternoon; and also another midwife appointment. Looking forward to hearing the heartbeat again, and finding out how she's growing.

Thanks Ngaiz and Arlias I am kind of freaking out. Any possibility of my baby having meningitis, pneumonia or sepsis is very worrying. I know the odds are low but its hard to find comfort in that at the moment. Plus if there is something I can do to completely eliminate this as an issue shouldnt I do it? Even if it means I have to have a C section? I am going to talk to my ob and see what he says.

Good luck today Catlover- enjoy hearing your little girls hb. Makes me smile everytime I hear my bubs.

Kerikiwi: I wish you all the best with the safe arrival of your baby ! Looking forward to hearing the news.

Arlais: good luck with turning bub next week. Hopefully it works and you can have the birth you want

    Amps: how are the migraines??

Annerley: thanks for the tip on rockers. I love the look of your one and how the sides come up to have a nap in. So I put it in my baby shower wish list. Congrats on the confirmation of a girl! Any pics to share?

Rtirk: I tested positive at 17 weeks for strep b and like you, I freaked out. I've had more than one OB reassure me not to worry about it and it is easily dealt with during labour. Even with a c section you will still need antibiotics so don't feel you have to have one because of the strep. Apparently there is such a minute percentage it could be passed onto the baby and even then it might not actually eventuate in any sickness. Google made me worry more so stay away from it. Strep b can come and go during pregnancy so you may not have it at birth. I didn't have it at 13 weeks but then have it at 17. Speak to your doc more if you are concerned.
