Jeanie love the saying on the wall gorgeous !! Nursery looks great. Cute decals too!
Glad you dropped in to show us and give us an update as don't see you post often but now I can see how busy you've been grins.
I totally understand about shedding a tear in the nursery as I did that as soon as the cot had its third side on ...

Are you going to use the bumpers or have you just put them on for looks till bub gets here since they came with cot/nursery stuff ... The only reason I ask is I was surprised at my antenatal class when midwife asked who had them that I was the only one that had heard of them not being considered the best /safest thing anymore ... I have an air wrap instead it's boring and not as cute but it allows ventilation as well as prevents bub from getting between rails which the midwife confirmed that they were ok .. But she warned about bumpers.
You can always use the bumper as a valance type look around bottom OB cot or maybe as curtain rail cover/ topper if you aren't going to use on cot when bub comes.

    Jeanie it looks great!!!

I'm sanding the last panel of the the cot today so I can undercoat tomorrow. Still haven't organised the drawers and change table haha. As far as I can tell, bub hasn't turned but is now sitting lower. When I walk my belly touches my quads it's so low. Pregnancy has finally hit me in the last two days and I no longer feel myself and feel quite fluey.

Just a copious amount of enthusiasm Jay with the bumper (Thankyou for the safety info though!)😃 bubs will be in the bassinet in our room until .... Um ...I can cope without him/her next to me lol

I always read along and love following everyone's journeys but I'm a self employed photographer and just moved house just don't seem to have any time on my hands and when I do I'm exhausted! Lol

I cannot wait to watch all the birth announcements come through in our group xx

Thanks ABH! Hope you are feeling better too, I'm getting there now! I have heard the GTT test can make you feel a bit ordinary so I've booked mine in for a Saturday morning and plan to rest up the rest of that day but hoping not to feel sick the following day as I have a trip to Sydney planned for the Sunday.

KJ- so happy to hear your GD is going ok! So if this continues, does it mean that you just keep tracking it for the rest of your pregnancy or could they potentially even just let you stop testing? I found out the other day that my obs has only referred me for the 1hr test, I have heard that lots fail this and then head onto the 2hr test, which can then come back as being no GD. I guess there's a chance I'll have to go back for a second test. Does your doc automatically start taking about getting the baby out early when it comes to GD or just wait and see how you go? Sorry for the ton on questions!

Jay- what you said about the breast feeding is exactly what my friend, who is now a mother of two says to do, give them a bit of a wake up change half way through the feed. I have cot bumpers too but I'm under the realisation that they'll be for decoration only and will be removed when bub arrives.

Ann- I don't know what you are talking about with the 2hr feeds, I've already had a chat to my little one and she's assured me that she will love her sleep like her mummy! Please let me live in a little bubble for at least the next few weeks! Haha!

Jeannie- your nursery looks so lovely! I can't wait to have ours finished too so can understand the tears. I agree, the little saying on the wall is just adorable! I'm looking forward to the birth announcements too!

Hi everyone, wow can't believe that some of you will be having your babies so very soon. We are really getting to the tail end of this long journey now.
We had a growth scan yesterday and our bub is in the 15th percentile. Who else is having a little one? Doctor said not to worry as everything else is normal. I think I might have another scan in a couple of weeks just to make sure everything is fine. I'm 33 weeks and she hasn't turned yet. My acupuncturist this morning said that she will do a point when we get closer which will make the baby turn. Arlais it was you who was discussing this a few pages back, wasn't it? Has anyone used acupuncture to help the baby turn. Apparently she can do one to induce the baby as well. She said these points are popular and what she does most in her job. And they do work.

I tried it for inducing labour. It didn't work for me but I did get a couple of contractions start - just never turned into the real thing!

Bedlover - Thanks, I was wondering how effective it was.
Veritas -just realised it was you talking about the acupuncture for turning baby. I think it's worth a try if we get to that stage. She talked about manually turning it myself as well.

Certainly was me Panda. We used moxibustion on the same points to help get my uterus in a more favourable position to conceive

Hi ladies hope everyone is well. I love the idea of using acupuncture for inducing labour and turning a bub. Let us know how you go Panda.
Great nursery Jeannie. You look like you are prepared. Cute decal too and v true for us ladies.
Enjoy your mat leave Vertias. I only have a week of work left before mine starts. I will only have 5 wks to go! Yay. I don't know how some of you ladies stay longer. I am so tired at work and my brain is just not functioning. Kudos to those who stay on at work.
Has anyone packed their bag for the hospital?

Panda my bub was on the 15th percentile too, but at the last growth scan I had a couple of weeks ago she's now on the 30th percentile. Still going to be a small bub, but Ob is happy with her progress.

I'm thinking about trying acupuncture to turn bub - weirdly though after months of having daily clexane injections I'm apprehensive about them sticking needles in me! We had our antenatal class yesterday and I almost had a complete meltdown when the midwife was showing us an epidural setup

It was nice getting a tour of the ward and seeing a birthing suite, but I really wish they included a bit more info on c-sections and showed us an operating theatre. Considering that's what most people would find scariest (especially if they haven't planned it) then I think it would have helped calm some nerves.

rtkirk I've had my hospital bag packed since I had to go for monitoring at 33 weeks - DH insisted lol. I'm actually going to go through it again sometime this week to make sure I have everything covered now I know what my hospital provides and their policy is to keep you in for 4-5 days unless you insist on going home early and there are no complications. Personally I'm happy to stay in there as long as possible where I have 24hr access to help (even just for a solid sleep) at the push of a button.
