We have the AC1100 which is the Angelcare video and movement one. Couple if features I really love is the timer (so you can time how long bub has been asleep for) and the zoom on the camera (to stare lovingly at bub while they sleep). Has loads of other great features but these are my favorites!

How many of you have attended the physiotherapy antenatal class? we have ours tonight and I totally forgot about it and was wondering if it was really useful or whether we could give it a miss and just go to the antenatal weekend workshop

Hi ladies. Sorry for lack of personals but just wanted to check in with you all as I am finding I get too tired at night now to try and write. Wow - some of us are so close to meeting our little ones. Only a matter of weeks now before we will have news of our first arrival! So exciting!
All well with me. I'm 34 weeks. No BH yet. I'm starting acupuncture next week to prepare for labour. I've also been to a birth refresher course and had a tour of the labour ward - I had DS at a different hospital. I asked my OB if I could have another scan so I am having one at 36 weeks. Yay!
I have my pre-admission interview at the hospital on Monday too so it feels like things are happening! I'm feeling semi-organised too but still need to pack my hospital bag.
Regarding monitors we have the Angelcare too. We didn't bother setting up the sensory pads with DS as he slept in our room for the first while as will this baby. I have found the monitor to be great though.
Anyway, just wanted to say hi to everyone and hope everyone is coping ok.

I too have now started thinking about the birth. Ive been starting to watch One born Every Minute on and off just to get myself in the right frame of mind. Our birthing classes have begun which is good because its making me start thinking about the different approaches to pain management and the reality of what needs to happen to get bubs out. Yes Im scared but I think talking to different people about what they went through helps. And also praying for the best. I know some people are purely lucky and have easy births and others can have traumatic births. Lets hope everyone here has it easy.
Riss yes I had that low feeling as well during the late to mid 2nd semester. It felt like a heavy pressure pressing down. Im now 33 weeks and bubs hasn’t turned so all the kicking is really low in my abdomen.
Im going to get the angelcare monitor just with sound, no video. Baby will sleep in our room. My brother has it for his baby and its very good.
I finally did the pj shopping. Went to Sussans yesterday and after looking around a lot they have the best range. Can now start to get the bag ready. Need to get all the other smaller items before I find walking even more difficult. Last day of work tomorrow.

Thank team panda.. Since having the scan today I now know it's bub's bum that has been pushing down there. The ultrasound guy laughed at how bub is positioned. Basically he is very flexible as his feet are up around his head with his head up above my belly button.
Thankfully my cervix has not changed!!! I guess my self appointed bedrest has helped and will continue too!

Here is a pic of our flexible baby! It's blurry but you can see the legs. Haha ImageUploadedByThe Bub Hub1394089739.686331.jpg

Haha Riss, I love it! That's exactly how my bub has been sitting for weeks.

I can't remember if anyone else is going private at Mater Brisbane but if anyone is, who have you chosen as your Paed? I had completely forgotten about needing to organise this.

Ngaiz I am going private at mater mothers as I did with ds last time. I did not have to organise a paed. It was whoever was on duty at the time in the private section looked after us. His office was just accross the road and we saw him for his 6 week check up.
Have you been told you need to organise a certain person? I have not been told to at all.
The guy we had was lovely though. If you like I can find his name for you

ABH and Riss just wondering where did you ladies buy your baby monitor from $100 less. There's so many out there it's just too confusing !

i wld probably go for video as well although bubs will be sleeping in our room (its a SIDs reducer factor). Also from experience some bubs cry alot some not so much but it just makes it easier when bubs is next to you for comforting and feeding. Also I felt it was a bit of a piece of my mind keeping an eye on breathing.

Ok guys don't laugh at this and I know its not everyone's cup of tea but it certainly made my life easier! So with dd and ds (and I learnt alot from dd transferred to ds) when the bassinet time was over and time to sleep in the cot at night had come (although they were sleeping in the cot during the day/evening) I ended u wheeling the cot next to my bed, sometimes when bubs cried I didn't have to get out of bed and stick my hand in the cot and pat them to sleep or stick the dummy back in - (instant quietness !) and again feeding was easier and watching breathing. It eliminated me running up and down ESP in winter.

Also I typed out a reply last night to some of you ladies but when I pressed submit it said it had expired i I re did it and still didnt go through!!! So annoyed I went to bed!! Sorry guys!

So iam flying back to Aust for a week this weekend very excited! Mon GTT, Tue scan , Wed OB (can't wait to show him my gobble dock thing!). Then some serious baby shopping (don't know how I will be hobbling along though!). Booked our acc and rental! Will go and check out our house which is on rent as well. The biggest killer will be the 8 weeks after delivery staying in serviced acc, atm we're looking at 7,000+ for a 2 bedder!

Ngaiz- I going Mater Private but didnt know about finding a paed? Will ask OB next week. Nobody said anything to me though when I saw him last during Xmas at 20 weeks, maybe its something they will talk about now but luckily you mentioned it here so I can ask. Time to fork out the $2800 for the pregnancy mgt fee! Ouch!
