yes, I too went through Next Gen with Dr Janelle McDonald...i'd had a terrible experience at IVF Australia and had a few rounds with a previous doc at Next Gen who was ok but the clinic was taken over by new doctors and Dr McDonald was the first doc who actually listened to what I wanted to do and why and agreed and viola I got my two children in my next 3 cycles. Dr Matthews did one of my EPU's and she was marvellous.

I also went through Next Gen with Dr Matthews. She has a great bedside manner but she's also to the point during consultations and listens to what you want. I went through a full IVF cycle with her a few years ago, which resulted first go in my now 16 month old girl. Hope it all goes well for you and that you are successful!

Default Differing opinion of Next Generation

My wife and I went through Next generation clinic in Parramatta. We consider ourselves to be intelligent people and we like to know the details of the process and procedures before hand and be consulted during and after. We paid upfront the full amount and we had specific requirements as my wife is sensitive to medications. Our request was ignored. In the time we attended I found the staff to be quite superficial, they told us as little information as possible and elaborated as little as possible. Our Dr/specialist had been just as vague. We didn't have the same nurse or Dr throughout the treatment and they ran us through their normal churn. I'll spare you the details, but let me say that they charged us the full amount of money and only had done part of the job. After seeing the accounts person to obtain a completed itemised invoice (that had only two items on the invoice), and questioned her as to why we have been billed for what was basically the full amount and questioned to what was basically the full amount, she looked at us straight in the face and said that this is what it costs.

They are a company of people who are there for the money. We may as well have gone to Westmead IVF and paid half as much. We have decided based on friends advise to go and see IVF Australia.
