Default What countries wouldn't you want to visit and why?

A bit of a spin off from the Shapelle thread. It got me thinking i definitely don't ever want to go to Bali not just because of what happened to her but there have been dodgy drinks and stuff ect. India- yep not really keen to go there it looks chaotic, hot and annoying.

I only want to go to European countries and north america. Would never go to Bali and not interested in going back to Asian countries or the Middle East, or Africa again. I'd go back to NZ tho, nice place.

Maybe the obscure African countries (because they're so small there's no point etc)

But other than that, none. I want to see the world & not cotton wool myself into a safe bubble. I love culture & want to see it alllll. I will wait till some countries are safer (African continent for example) but I will get there

When I was a flight attendant I often had to visit countries I wouldn't actually pay to visit and some of them were surprisingly some of the greatest experiences of my life and I now rave about them. Italy, France, Greece, New York etc were all amazing but I expected to love them. Some surprise amazing destinations that I totally love were China, Russia and Croatia. I was also blown away by Kenya and Bangladesh, not for the country itself but for the people. NZ is incredibly under rated IMO and the snow fields rival any I've seen in Europe.

I would go every where and anywhere.

I've travelled a lot and I can't say there's anywhere I'd not want to go. Everywhere is beautiful.

I'd probably say I wouldn't care if I didn't go to LA again, the smog etc is nothing exciting. That's really about it.

And I'll agree with the pp, Croatia is amazing, and NZ highly underrated. Love it and such a short flight makes it awesome. Taupo, even Rotorua, I was 22 and didn't find it boring, and the skiing is great.. And queenstown will always be the best, especially those Furgburgers yum yum best burgers in the world!

    It's probably easier to list the countries I would go to;
    Most of Europe
    America
    Canada
    New Zealand
    Fiji
    Japan
    Mexico
    and probably a few others.

Some places I just have no interest in seeing, but mostly it comes down to safety and cultural aspects that I disagree with.

I think Bali and any other Asian country except for Japan, I wouldn't go to any African country, Dubai etc. Bali especially as I wouldn't be able to trust the food etc. just not my cup of tea.

This is pretty much the same as my list and for the same reasons too!

I have no interest in Asia. I think Japan would be an exception though.
No interest in America, Africa, and the middle east.

Would love to visit the UK, france, Italy, Scandinavia, and maybe Canada.
