We'll looks like I have a possible date. Saw the OB today and she is going to induce me at 38 weeks. That means only three weeks to go till we meet our little man. Yipeeee. He is still small but has grown over the last few weeks and stayed in the same percentile band. The other good news is that he has turned and isn't breech anymore (I guess spending all that time on my hands and knees in the spa worked!!!!). I have also been told to stop work this week so only two more days till I can put my feet up.

Glad to hear about all the new bubs and mums doing well. Congrats to everyone

Lyndsay do you have a wrist guard I sleep with mine on (when I do sleep) and it does help

I know sariele, we've been together the whole way. But I'm getting pretty over the sore hips, sore back, this heat and indigestion. But you never know..... You could still go a week early.

Jedihouse and Musicalgirl how exciting for you both! It's so surreal when your actually given a date, which I found out today 😁 My BP is quite high so the Ob wants to book me in to be induced as early as next Friday. I so wasn't ready to hear that! I'm just so confused with what to do as he has given me the option of 28th, 3rd, 4th. My husband obviously wants me to do it the 28th but I tend to think the 4th so I can give my body the opportunity to go into labour naturally. Unless my BP goes absolutely way too high then I would be happy to do it the 28th. OMG I'm totally freaking out now!

Also, I need some advice. I was going to start drinking Raspberry leaf tea however my Ob has put doubt in my mind. What's everyone's opinion? He kind of left it up to me but basically said there isn't enough research on any of it's effects.... Feeling slightly confused as I don't want to do anything that could possibly harm the baby.

Hi Kd sucks about your BP I've been taking raspberry leaf tabs for a week and evening primrose oil orally and vaginally. They don't induce labour but they help the uterus during labour I believe. I guess it a decision only you can make & maybe there isn't any evidence but at least you feel like your doing something. I also believe LOTS of sex, walking, walking, walking. Goodluck hope you go into labour naturally soon but at the end of the day you get the same result a nice baby

Oh Jedi and Musical...getting close now. And Sariele too

KD rats about the BP -was that your first high reading or is it a continuous thing? I drank RLT till it just about came out my ears and walked 5km per day until bub arrived and....he was overdue and I needed surgery because my uterus didn't contract properly. So I'm pretty sceptical about the efficacy - but it did make me feel like I was "doing something" to help the process, so it wasn't a total waste!

I drank RLT for a few weeks - I'm the same: can't really decide if it helped or not but was like "it can't hurt", my midwife said it's supposed to help tone uterus.

Up until about 2 weeks ago my BP was ok. It has stayed fairly high throughout the pregnancy but not high enough to worry. It's now stated consistently high at each Ob appointment which is the reason now I have to be induced want to do everything I can to avoid it so might try a few things, but understand that they may not help at all, but like you said it'll make me feel like I'm doing something! Another friend has suggested Reflexology which I hadn't really considered so I might look into this also.....
