Rachael she's so beautiful. I think it only gets better from here

Our bub is just over 14 weeks. He remains a horrid daytime sleeper but generally only wakes once at night, so I'll take that! He was weighed today and is just over 5kg which is a bit over 11pounds. We have had a few issues both with his feeding & my supply but we do what we need to do, hey? His smiles and chattiness make everything worthwhile.

Bub loves tummy time & started rolling front-to-back very early (eek) and now is working on back-to-front but gets stuck on his side and can't swing his hips enough yet to get over. It won't be long though. He is a bit cheeky and smiles at random women all the time, but almost never at men ha ha.

I'm halfway through my mat leave & trying not to think about it!

    Rachael3 - Beautiful photo!

Now that I have 600 x 100ml bags in my frozen store, decided to stop adding to the store and just pump enough for feeding. I will also unfreeze some of the oldest bags and replace them with fresh bags, which will turn over the frozen store but not increase or decrease its size.

Yesterday increased the time between daytime pumps to 4 hours, and aimed to cut out night pumps. I made it to 4am when I gave in to pumping due to being uncomfortable, and got just over 300ml.

So far each 4 hourly pump get over 200ml, but thinking this will start to decrease as the body adjusts. Will see if cutting back the extra pumping will let my periods come back.

Poor Frankie has got a cough, and I kept him at home from childcare today. He seems to be getting better. His appetite seemed to return last night and he woke up 3 times to be fed (just when I thought I would get to sleep through since giving up pumping). He doesn't seem to have any mucus or phlegm and is breathing fine. The doctor I took him to seemed to think it is a virus which will go away on its own. Today his cheeks are a little rosy too.

Well done Chook, takes a lot of effort doesn't it. I started to formula feed more and more. Still pump once a day which gives me two bottles one for freeze and one for the night feed. The other main feeds are formula and snacks are BF. Her poos are like wet cement now and she has fattened up. Prefer BF but we need AF here ASAP. Wish they had nothing to do with each other

Rachael - I'm now pumping 4 times per day, around 6am, 11am, 4pm and 9pm. My breasts don't feel as urgently engorged leading up to a pump as they did when I originally changed to this schedule. However I'm still getting more than 200ml each time. I have also been breastfeeding before the morning pump. Not sure if the amount will gradually reduce and reach a new equilibrium.

Also, some ladies I talked to at an ABA group said that AF came back for them when baby slept through the night. Therefore cutting out feeds and pumps in the wee hours of the morning might help.

Hi ladies how are you going with your beautiful bubs? Bet they are growing real fast like mine.

Trying to wean her off, only bfing in the morning and sometimes at night - still no AF Been told to stop the night feed but it's so hard we both love it. Have any of your AF's returned? Do I need to completely stop?

Haven't started her on solids yet, she is just passed 4 months. Loving mothers group and really keen to take her for a quick swim.

She is sleeping from about 9:30pm to 6am, wake up for a quick feed then back to sleep sometimes till 9am..so ok in this department.
