With my DD I knew my exact conception date, my cycles were a bit out but all of my scans had me 10 days out from where I should have been. I had exactly what you described, but the whole way through my pregnancy! I ended up havuig her 9 days 'early.' I really do believe scans can be out, babies can be slow growers etc. Your HCG is fantastic, hopefully your repeat bloods look good & it's just one of those unexaplainables. Good luck xx

I had an internal scan at 8 wks and while we saw and heard the heartbeat I still expected the image would have been clearer than it was.
It does sound strange, I hope everything will be ok

    I did experience this.
Your experience could turn out better than mine. But like others have said, if your sure of dates then unfortunately it may turn out not so good.
I went for a scan when I was 8 weeks and only measured 6 with a heartbeat of 100.
    Mine unfortunately wasn't good news.
What happens is a heartbeat gets to a certain stage then your body picks up there is something not right with the chromosomes, the fetus then stops growing but the heartbeat still remains and you don't start miscarrying until heartbeat stops. I was told the heartbeat goes down by about 10bpm per day.
I had a natural mc 3 weeks after bub had stopped growing, but when heartbeat actually stopped.
Have you had any brown discharge?
Hope you have better news to report back. xxx

Your levels of 88000 sounds more like you are 8 weeks pregnant look at this hcg chart -->> http://www.babymed.com/hcg-level-in-early-pregnancy ....
I have read stories on the net of women with slow growing babies and hcg that suggests they are further along than the babies size and the baby turns out fine. It's a good thing your hcg is so high! That's kind of reassuring. Fingers so tightly crossed! Keep us updated xx

I've had the same thing happen. Still no answers why though. Got a positive test x 3 in November so went for a dating scan when I estimated myself to be about 7.5wks but scan only picked up a sac and couldn't see a baby and it measured just 5wk1 d. I was devastated having just had my third mc prior. Hcg levels were middle 6 week range so it was waiting game. Went back 4 weeks later baby there but measuring another 4 days behind and this all meant I'd had positive tests before even conceiving not possible.

Played waiting game and got 12week scan done four weeks later where bubba was there happy and instead of measuring 12wks measured 13.4wks. It was a horror few months waiting but I'm 16 weeks now according to last scan and just starting to feel bubba. No one has explanation what happened other then scans can be inaccurate and it's just an estimate.

Yes, that's exactly what I thought with my hcg levels! My pg levels were within the correct range too. I've been reading stories about slow growers too and I'm hoping that's what it is.

This sounds exactly like what has happened to me so far!

Just got some results back. My progesterone levels are stable and haven't dropped so I have to go for a scan next week to see how the baby is progressing.

My current pregnancy (24 weeks) my scans weren't showing much in fact it looked like an empty sac & my hcg levels were really high. It took about 2 weeks before my scan & hcg both looked correct & on track.
No idea why as bub is now measuring ahead
