No good news for us. Our last cycle got cancelled. So we are back into jabbing land, with scans and blood tests this week.

MyIVF has been good, but again, there have been disparities and miscommunications, but, to a degree, this happens everywhere. Organisation and administration seems to have improved since we first started with this clinic.

The pharmacy has been absolutely wonderful, can't praise Lucy enough!

Overall, we're happy, just a bit disappointed in the way things keep changing, and of course, that our cycle got cancelled (not that it was anyone's fault, these things happen).

Hope everything goes well for you and your partner Petal40. Let's hope we both get excellent outcomes this cycle!

As a side note, are you finding that the Puregon injections are making you really tired? I am having to nap at least once a day, but given that's the only side effect I'm having, I am not complaining!

Also, to any newbies out there, the injections really aren't bad at all: the Puregon doesn't hurt. The orgalutran isn't pleasant, but it isn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be from what I had read/been told, and neither is the trigger injection.

Can anyone give me feedback about the progesterone pessaries that MyIVF uses? The pharmacy and the nurses have warned me that they aren't very pleasant, given how adhesive they are.

I'm using Menopur Stayathomewife, and at first I panicked they hadn't given me enough, but the bottles are deceptive to how much they hold. The needles need a bit more force than I am used to with the Gonal F pens, they feel a little blunt. And the Orgalutran hurts a bit too. That's my only complaint, that the needles are hard to get in. I'm having a little rash reaction to to the Orgalutran, only lasts 40 or so minutes, and used to get the same thing with the Certrotide.
I'm just worried I won't get any eggs on such a low protocol, but that's why we went Menopur as it's meant to be better for bad responders. Scan tomorrow, fingers crossed.
Good luck with your next cycle, hopefully we both get a positive outcome

Just wanted to chime in on this thread if nobody minds...
We've been with dr chenoweth for approx 18mths now, we were seeing him at the wesley for iui and have since moved on to myivf.

I had my first egg collection today... I was TERRIFIED! As it turns out, I found the procedure only uncomfortable and certainly not painful like I was expecting.
True to form, dr chenoweth was his cheery, lovely self and does more than enough to make you feel at ease. I had an amazing staff of nurses and scientists in the room that made me feel at ease and brightened up the scenario.
We are looking at a better result than we had expected so fingers crossed.

I wondered if anyone who has been there has experienced any negativity from the primary scan nurse and the hospital receptionist? I thought it may have been the hormones coursing through my veins that made me extra sensitive but my husband noticed it today too... It's just really infuriating when you're on the emotional rollercoaster that we are and in a fragile mental state to be spoken to abruptly and rudely. It doesn't cost anything to be polite and caring.
So that's my only negative feels about myivf, so far I'd recommend it to anyone. X

@thugwife I've just completed a round with them (unfortunately unsuccessful, but I responded better than previous rounds with QFG), and think John is great. Both nurses are Sue, and I definitely like one more than the other, I got both at different times. Young girl at front desk? Found her a bit indifferent at the start, but did like her by the end, she recognised me, was very nice, and been very helpful as I live in Toowoomba and she has organised a lot of things for me. I put it down to not having heaps of experience due to her age. I found the EPU fine also, Dr, nurses etc providing a great distraction, and not painful at all. Good luck with your results

Hi ladies, I agree, Sue Rice is really lovely to deal with consistently. The other Sue can be a little abrupt and abrasive at times, but once you get to know her a little better she warms up. My DH still really dislikes the other Sue. Therese at reception is okay, I'm not sure she has ever personally been through this process, and so that might make it harder for her to empathise, but generally she was pretty friendly. The pharmacy girls are lovely too.

EPU was HORRIFIC for me, but Dr C said that he had to manually stimulate my ovaries quite a bit and apologised because he knew it would have been painful.

Absolutely all worth it now though, because after nearly four years of trying, I'm 12 weeks pregnant from our August cycle. I still can't believe it!

Hope you ladies all get similar results, MyIVF do know what they are doing, and Dr C is so lovely and tries to do everything he can to help. Baby dust to everyone.

That's awesome news! I start jabbing again Thursday, hopefully this is the one for us. My naturopath is treating me for overactive immune system & upped my vitamin D as that was low also. Dr C was happy with our results last cycle though, so am going into this one thinking positively.
Therese has been awesome, and so helpful providing all my test results to my naturopath, the day after I asked for them!
Hope I get the same wonderful result as you

So great to read all these posts about MyIVF clinic in Brisbane. Could I please ask did everyone on here use local anaesthetic for the egg retrieval?
i have experienced both with a local and a general and the local was extremely painful for me, I just wondered if there is an option for general with MyIVF.

I'm not sure they do offer that option. They do use fentanyl as well as the local, so you're a bit spaced out. I don't wake up from a general very well, so I much prefer the other option, even if it's a bit painful. You may have to ask. I have nothing but the highest praise for everyone involved with myivf. They are just wonderful

I travel 2hrs to see them, I was with QFG in Toowoomba, and did 2 cycles there with no success & no change in protocol. Very high amount of stimms drugs & only got 2/3 follicles on my cycles. Basically went to MyIVF as it is so much more affordable. Dr Chenoweth is great, he changed what drug I was on, lowered the dose, first cycle with them I got 5 eggs from 6 follies, and have just had my 2nd round, getting 8 eggs! I had 15 follies & developed a bit of OHSS, but they were all over it, changed my trigger & ensured I didn't end up in hospital. I'm now waiting to see how many embies make it to Monday for a freeze all cycle. His bedside manner is great, such a lovely Dr, the nurses are wonderful, and Theriese on the desk is such a sweetie too. Good luck with them
