There are heaps of cars that fit 3 car seats. i upgraded to slimline seats, so i could keep my car. much cheaper than a new car.

if you want a new car anyway, check out ability to have 3 hooks for the car seats. Have a look at the NRMA site, they have car measurements and have looked at diff car seat combos. They are pretty conservative though, and i have seen 3 (slimline) seats fit fine in some cars they say can't fit 3 seats.

I drive a Ford Territory and I really like the size. It is pretty roomy and I think it is a nice car to drive. Maybe go to a car yard and have a look at some different cars.

The ford territory is one of the largest 4wd out there and has plenty of room to fit 3 seats across. Definitely stay away from any subaru cars as they have large wings on the side of the seat and large arm rests as well as being very narrow. Next off the rank is the holden captiva it is a no go as the middle seat has the seat belt in a weird position.

the problems you will encounter are due to the wings of the child restraint which make it difficult to put 3 across the back.

as suggested go for slimline child restraints such as the infa kompressor (0-4 allows rear facing to 24 months (50th percentile)), and the infa luxi (0-8), the goliath is a narrow forward facing restraint but the wings butt together and you do lose some space

try different combinations at the baby shop as the right child restraints will make a difference and is cheaper than a new car

    hope this helps

We have a holden Captiva and currently have 2 safe 'n' sound maxi riders plus a capsule in it. Had no problems fitting them all in.

Were another with a Holden captiva. I have had 3 biggish car seats in the back (inc a capsule) with no dramas. NRMA website has some great info about which cars can accommodate 3 car seats and in what combos.
    Good luck.

We have a Volvo xc90 and it fits 3 across the second row beautifully.
It's also lovely to drive and seats 7 in total with a great amount of boot room with all 7 seats up.

You can fit anything across in a Ford Territory. Prius V is good too.
