@emski I've just been stalking the 'fertility friends' thread about serum in Greece and they have had a dreadful run of bfns there which is a little unnerving ....

Butterfly.... your DH sounds just like mine - he's always optimistic, and is always cheering me up whenever I break down crying (which since the three years we've been married, seems to be every couple of days, thanks to IVF!!) He's happy to try and plan all sorts to have a baby - the only thing he won't let me do is steal one!! (which during a few hysterical crying episodes has been the only option I can think of!!)

Not me! I'm a Serum BFP! First try with Serum too :-) And we had a total of 5 A grade embies at time of transfer . couldn't have gone better Don't forget not everyone posts, and with 60% success rates, 40% have to get BFN's (which sucks).

Good luck with whichever way you go

Butterfly, no I didn't have a hysteroscopy or swab. I did send them results of a hysterosalpingogram I had in the past and they did require a pelvic ultrasound too. There were also some BT results needed.

Egg pickup went very well for us today. 16 mature eggs from our wonderful donor. Hopefully getting jiggy as I type this. Should hear about fert rates tomorrow.

16 eggs mrs Erin - wow, off to a great start there!!! Woohoo!
@bertie yes I hear ya on the baby stealing vibe - I have to handle babies extensively at work - sometimes I think the parents take a good long look at me as I squeeze them and play peekaboo just a little too long

thats part of what makes me accept donor eggs as an option - Every baby is so beautiful. I always wanted at least 3!

Will do personals later; in a bit of pain. All done;5 eggs & best news is DH's sperm defrosted so no surgery for him. Feeling hopeful; what else can one feel? Xx

Wow this is a roller coaster. I'm afraid it's not great news; they were only able to inject one egg. Will find out if it fertilises tomorrow. Can't stop crying, I guess the pain & the hormones don't help.
