Oh no fingers crossed, I'm sorry it's another chemical ... That really sucks, hope u 2 are comfort eating.

Afm started elonva today on higher dose and feel like absolute crap - this would be the worst ever... Headache, everything aches, I've gone to bed and can't even water the garden. This does not bode well for the >20h of work I have planned this weekend.

Ah Fingerscrossed - my heart goes out to you and your DP. That's really rough. This TTC business is just cruel. My first AF after my last miscarriage was heinous too, seriously the worst I've ever had - I really hope she feels physically better soon and something lovely helps heal both your hearts too xxx

MGC Bertie, I have everything crossed for you and your sister! Absolutely EVERYTHING!

Fingerscrossed.... really sorry to hear that news. Every BFN is hard to take, each in their own way. And with the prospects of the end-of-the road even harder still. I agree, comfort food does help, if only temporary xx (on tablet so can't start new line) AFM.... my sister's EPU went really well this morning. She got 10 eggs, and later in the day found out that 9 of them were mature, which we're over-the-moon about. They looked at DH's sperm sample, but as always, nothing there, so used the anonymous donor sperm that we'd chosen. Now just have to wait until the morning to find out how many fertilise. I so hope the DS is good and does what it needs to, especially since my sister did such a good job producing nice little eggies :-)) I guess out of our hands now. Thanks for all your thoughts and good wishes.

@MGC bertie oh wow, nine eggs fertilised is great! Sad that your DH's sperm couldn't be used but it sounds like it wasn't a surprise for you.

Still. Will you get a day 3 update of your embies?

    for you.

You donor egg/sperm girls are very inspiring. I wish I'd known all this when I was at my lowest point. It might have helped to know the other options.

Bongley.... no, she actually had 10 eggs collected, but 9 of them were mature and suitable to be injected with the sperm. We will find out tomorrow how many of them fertilise overnight (party in a petri dish tonight!). Then on Monday find out a day 3 report, and look for transfer on Wed (d5). Yes, we've known all along that there's not much, if anything in DH's sperm. He's had everything under the sun, aspirations, biopsies and mTESE. He's also done a sperm sample for every EPU, in the hope that a miracle sperm might be found, but nothing. At least each time it makes him feel like he's been a part of it and has tried his best, so a little bit of confidence boosting there too. For my DH, he came to terms with using DS pretty quickly, but I must admit it's taken a long time for me to get to the DE point, but I'm rather hopefully now that this might get us to take a baby home :-)

Congratulations on that haul Bertie, you're off to a flying start, I really hope this is the one for you and DH I agree, it takes time to reach the donor egg point.... It seems its the answer though for many of us, and definitely gives new hope that we can have children in the end.

Hey Bertie - how's the fert rate go? I really hope good. Your sister did a great job. And I also admire your dh for giving everything in this journey. Hopefully you are getting just that close to taking home bubs!

Oh Fingers I was so sad to read your post. It seems like this cycle has really taken it out of you and DP. No bfn cycles good, chemicals are worse. I hope you both will be able to find a way from where you are. I really hope you don't mind me asking but have you considered donor eggs? I know this is a really sensitive area and choice so I hope I haven't made you upset.

Girls thank you for all your support over the months in this thread ESP in the early days. This is such a long hard journey full of ups and downs.... Wishing you all a bfp to come your way soon!

    Hi everyone,

I’ve been in the wings, reading along. Hi everyone.

A few ups and downs for us the last few weeks. I can’t recall if I told the story here of how our donor went for her screening but then had second thoughts as she was a bit uninformed on what the whole process would be. They cancelled her screening due to that. Fortunately, we got over that hurdle and she was happy to go ahead once she fully understood the risks and the process of EPU. This glitch delayed her screening by a week and a half though.

So, our donor then went back for her rescheduled screening and passed the psych test fine. She also agreed to our dates..great! But, then we got her blood test results and sadly, for her and us, she had a very low AMH. The clinic advised us not to proceed. This has all happened within a few weeks of us leaving, but it is certainly better to know now than find out when we're there.

The good news is, that we have found another donor quickly and she has agreed to donate to us and to our dates. She has donated before with good results, and has her own children, so we don't expect another issue with low AMH. The clinic and donor agency have been very helpful with rushing this donor through quickly so we can try to stick to the same dates. She still has to go through screening again, so fingers crossed!

I’ve been advised to stop the pill, as planned, tomorrow so that sounds like a good sign that we’re still going to meet the dates.

We fly out 2 weeks from today and nothing is booked. EEEEKKKK!!

Good Luck MGC Bertie. I hope you get a great fert rate today. It's wonderful that you could do this with your sister.

Commiserations to those of you who’ve had a rough time. This process can be so hard at times.

    X
