Great news chris very great news...I dont have a clue how you can relax and not pay attention to every little niggle though. From what I have read every pain, flutter, niggle can just as easily be put down to being ok as being not ok so look at the half full glass. Just enjoy being pregnant!

You asked about my weight loss and a few pple lately have commented on me looking better...but that wasnt until I had my haircut differently!!! Anyway I keep being asked how did I do it...well...nothing anymore special than what everyone knows...eat less, eat better, exercise more....count every kilojoule...as I say., I have known it my whole life however...nothing makes up for motivation which is the clincher...the clinic I want to do ivf through is low cost...they do not use aneasthetic for EPU and they told me for that reason mainly they wont let you start until your BMI is 35....mine was 46...I started in sept only and lost 16kgs in 17 weeks.., then ended up in hospital where I lost more so managed to keep another 2 off but i am stuck at 18kgs but havnt bin exercising and relying a bit on DH for shopping and an emotional wreck. Anyway im sorry to say that being told I cant even start ivf was really what did it but I am still fat so I hope to keep going but I feel like I could very easily go backwards...bin very shaky bout starting ivf everything inc the weight loss to get to this point....feeling like giving up...mum says... you didnt even start and I said **** this has been going on for me since I was 18...after 3 ectopics all with the full big slice I feel like im tired....aside from the MC

Bertie sorry youve been up the crapper but you certainly sound like you are in good spirits I had been wondering about you

Precious welcome to this thread, this is the only thread I have read regularly from the start. We have had a few new ladies arrive in the last couple so hopefully we can get to a lot more good news and a heap of cycling happening.

Congratulations Chris and hello everyone else . I got the call yeterday from the emryologist saying that 2 of the 6 embryo's had made it to blasto and almost hatching to do the genetic CGH test. I must say I was pleased to hear that 2 had survived but of course would have loved the others to pull through to increase my chances of getting a normal result. I know the odds are against me because of my age and so I am preparing for the results to come back saying both embryo's have test abnormal. Trying to remain optomistic but also realistic is bloody difficult. The results should take approx 2 weeks....another but different dreaded TWW!

Hey Juama, 2 blasts for testing is a great result, I have everything crossed for you.

Thanks to everyone for the well wishes!

I've haven't had a great day today. Went to acupuncture yesterday and ever since I've had a scary pain on my lower left side that extends right through to my lower back. It just won't go away and is very similar to a pain I've experienced in the past with one of my earlier mc's. I seem to also have lost the other mild symptoms I had with queasiness and sore bb.

Trying to stay positive and hoping the pain is just things stretching. If pain doesn't subside tomorrow I may call clinic to get advice. Anyone had anything similar to this at 5-6 weeks.

    Hi Chris,

Loss of symptoms, strange pains, stretching, you name it, it's all part of the stress of pregnancy! Try not to read anything into it. I had all of the above and worried myself sick that I was going to miscarry. Your hcg is great.I know you can't help it but just hang in there. Have you got an appt for an early scan?

Thanks for the reassurance OctoberBaby, makes me feel a little better knowing it's probably just normal pregnancy symptoms. First scan is booked at 7 wks. So a week and a half to go!

JUAMA I hope you get some great news with your embryos...everything is about the waiting I hope it goes fast for you.

Chris as I said earlier the symptoms and pains during pregnancy even if scary dont need to mean something bad esp loss of symptoms strangely i know really sore hot boobs is comforting I guess its easier said than done...but there is nothing you can do except try to relax as worrying def wont change things...hah I know useless words.

We are all here and all know how you feel when you just want to get to you ultrasound. Time goes backwards it seems

    How are you feeling now?
