Hi ladies, my apologies for my absence, I've been camping for the last two weeks and my mobile reception has been patchy. Team panda, congrats on the birth of Violeta, what a beautiful name, I'm so pleased you're on the mend and she is sleeping well.

Not sure if this worked, but thought I'd share a pic from one of my walks while on holiday, it's at crystals showers falls in the dorrigo national park. It was a wonderful day and took my mind off IVF for just a short while.

Congrats to vixcjc those numbers sound great, glad to hear emski is doing well, butterfly39 this has got to be your cycle. Gnh Welcome, sorry I've never had a none transfer due to embies not progressing , but have had unsuccessful transfers. This last cycle I used dhea as well as saizen to try and help egg quality it was a long down cycle and I was on 450 gonal f. My transfer was cancelled due to high progesterone and I'll be doing a fet in June.

Hi to everyone else, sorry if I missed you!

@Chiefsgirl surely ...lol. Just waiting for AF so I can start the elonva.

yeah it's amazing for stress management to get out into the forest... I try not to think of ivf at all in between cycles. I do a lot of camping, hiking, climbing, action type sports... Not a fitness fanatic though as Ive never set foot in a gym or 'train' except for a couple of half pipe clinics I've done in Canada - the gym is way too boring... ! Will have to stop long boarding and climbing for a while this time though as FS has asked me to gain weight now - 4kg min which is going to be more of a challenge. My bmi is currently well under 20. Its a bummer as was planning to start aerial silks boo. Don't really know what to eat as I don't want to eat anything processed... Mashed potato?
@micca thanks for the link - did you get your BFP in Colorado there?

Hope ur all well this chilly weekend!

Maybe try pasta or higher carb meals? You could always try protein shakes made on milk, that way it's not 'bad' food as such that is bulking you up? Man I wish my bmi was under 30 let alone 20! I'm a bit of a gym girl, but also play netball and we hike a bit. I'm quite muscular (I did competitive martial arts for 8 years) so while I don't look 'fat' I am heavy for my height which puts my bmi out. I do lift quite heavy weights at the gym too which doesn't help as I just keep getting more muscle, oh well!

I'd love to be muscly and strong @Chiefsgirl ! I have little T-Rex, feeble Mr Burns arms. I do some plyometrics (jump training) at home and run up and down the hills at my park with my dogs. I'm getting into doing some push ups, I need some upper body strength. Always something in the way however, usually sleep deprivation or illness. Very frustrating.

One thing that we have found is the my right ovary isn’t responding to the drugs, in the first three IVF cycles I have only ever had 1 egg from that side, and last cycle none. I am on the highest Gonal F dosage of 300, and the FS said they find increasing the dosage past 300 doesn’t seem to do anything. Anyone heard this ?
So next step is to start the long cycle on 14 May…so goodluck to you all

IVF April 2013 4 eggs fertilized – none made it past day 1
GNH - I had my firs two cycles cancelled because I didn't produce enough follies to make EPU worthwhile, on my third cycle I produced 4 follies got one fertilised embie, and it implanted - but was ectopic ... I was on 450 gonal f on the first two cycles, on the third cycle I was on Elonva and my results overall were much better on that (oestrogen levels etc). I was told Elonva is a newer medication, is not as widely used yet but is getting better results for 35+ ladies. I also found I had one ovary that was snoozing on the job while the other did all the work - but can't remember which - I think maybe it was the right, cos I remember thinking later that the right tube is all scarred from the ectopic but it doesn't matter given the ovary is a slacker and nothing will be travelling down there anyway

Hi all, im just checking in. Had a full week of spotting but thankfully its eased up now. Had 2 scans which show bub is doing fine. They think spotting may have been caused by this horrible cough ive developed with the cold I picked up. All on the mend now and feeling much better.

    Vixjc - fantastic numbers

Enski - great news on your scan. Its such a relief to finally see that hb.

Panda - congrats on the birth of V. Im so excited for u.

Welcome to the newcomers and good luck to everyone cycling. Im reading along and following everyones journey with my fingers crossed.
