Vix wow you are off soon and yes that's a sign of the times the dentist being good news haha! It's so hard isn't it making these calls about medication, you can't ring the clinic in Greece and see what they think, 'theoretically', given the higher dose worked so well last time. At the end of the day I'm sure you will make the right decision.

Wish I was going to Greece. What's the price over there for donor cycle, Vix, if you don't mind me asking ?

Oh vixcj just what you don't need! I have faith it will get there, but gosh it's been a tough ride! Luckily for me DH makes the bed every time!

Butterfly and emski how is the tww going? Butterfly any more bp issues?

Today has been better. Got home from work and DH had done chores after he woke up from nightshift so whilst I feel bad for my meltdown on the weekend, it has helped him get off his backside and help me out!

Mine loves making the bed, but thats only so he can get into it !!!

I had bp issues all yesterday - which is weird considering 1 month ago I was being treated with huge amounts of antihypertensives for a bp of 227/125!!! I'm off all meds now and it's been much lower yesterday, like 114/71 was around the lowest and I was having to grab the bench in the kitchen to stop me going down. It seemed to get better with food throughout the day - I deliberately ate some salt on my roasted pumpkin and sweet potato for lunch. The diastolic (bottom number) seems very low for me and I don't know why that is. I know bp falls in pregnancy but it seems way to early for that. I will try and drink more water, it's been ridiculously hot here.

The 2ww usually drags on badly for me but this time I'm ok, probably a little more detached from things and not at all feeling like poas. I seriously don't want to know about that at the moment. I have a few more days off so I'm going to do my usual thing of stocking the freezer with meals starting today, it will pass the time in a more productive manner than with dr google .

Other than that, I feel quite tired and gross. The pessaries always make me feel sick and bleh. DH is going away again so it will be just me and the cats. They are such terrors. Last night my evening of relaxation was destroyed by my white lion flying through the cat door and releasing a live bandicoot into the lounge, poor thing I caught it and popped it into a box overnight so will either release him or take him to the wildlife people today. I try to keep the cats in but they are seasoned escape artists and I had forgotten to lock the cat door, which I felt quite bad about. They are thoughtful about it though, DH was sad and upset the other day about not making epu because of work, and kitty brought him a fresh live grub! How thoughtful.

chiefsgirl I'm glad the meltdown registered - it's worse when they don't ! I find its a bit of a balancing act between DH taking advantage and sitting back and enjoying 5 star maid service (figuratively) and me being Dragon Lady all the time. Not cool!

    Hi Ladies.

Butterfly - I hope your 2WW is going along OK. You sound very relaxed.

Emski - congrats on being PUPO. Hope you are enjoying Cape Town although you may have left by now.

Chiefsgirl - sorry about your meltdown. Men need a kick up the butt sometimes!

    Hi to everyone else.

Well we have had an eventful week. Our cycle started off well. Then on my 2nd scan a dominant follie had developed. It was up to 17mm & the others were only around 11mm. We were going to cancel then another had caught up by next scan so kept going knowing we only had 2. So we got 2 eggs at EPU. both fertilised & having transfer tomorrow. I have surprisingly been very relaxed throughout it. Keep growing little embies....

@Butterfly39 for bp issues still. Do you think you should head to gp if it's still bad today?? Forgive me if you've said before but is your DH FIFO? that must be hard, and here I am complaining about nightshift!

It's funny how much better I feel after my meltdown, so much more able to handle the emotions. Whilst I felt sorry for DH the next day, I'm glad it was him and not work

I'm on day 2 of prednisolone and it's not affecting my sleep yet which is good, but it does make me feel a bit nauseous oh well, only one more day till stims start and then I'll feel better.

@Vixjc have you heard back from the clinic in Greece? You have me worried about my lining now, so I've started my conceive well tea which is supposed to help with that! I'd normally do it a week or so later but want to give it a red hot go to make sure it's nice and ready to receive my embies!

@Luca One is all you need so 2 is great. Excellent that they both fertilised too! Is that going to be a 3dt?

    to everyone else

Cheifsgirl that bloody lucrin. DP is on lucrin, waiting for AF to arrive and on Saturday she had the biggest meltdown ever whilst on lucrin. You say poor DH, i say poor me! It was a doozy and like yours over the littlest thing. I just gave her space (she wandered around Hurstville Westfield for 6 hours before i heard from her lol)

Leyshoja does not surprise me your thoughts about menopor. I asked our FS about it and she said it was **** lol. The clinic apparently tried using it again but she said it was like going back 15 years, its not a drug that works to well. FS is not backward in coming forwards when she answers your questions lol.

    Hello to everyone

Yes, poor you! I could feel the emotions bubbling up and just couldn't control it, so I know how your DP felt, and I cd see how upset it made my DH so I can imagine how you feel. The things we do huh? Does she get hot sweats with it? It comes over me in waves and can be really embarrassing as I go so red in the face!

Wow - two 14 hour days in a row, even though I worked Sunday too ... I think my brain is going to explode and the week isn't even half done yet! Grrr.

Butterfly, a donor cycle at Serum in Athens is 5,000 euro ($7,500) plus flights, accomm and my meds. At Genesis Clinic it is 5,500 euro. With Serum I only have to be there a week, Genesis required three weeks. Makes a big difference to cost because of the accomodation and food expenses.

Chiefsgirl, I heard back from Serum, they said to use the Oestrogen patches my FS here prescribed and get the viagra from my ivf friend and use that as well. She didn't increase my progy dose ... I don't tend to respond to meds the way everyone else does so DH and I were concerned about trying new medications now when this trip has no 'give' in terms of timing (unlike last time when there was some time for the lining to grow once I got to Athens). We have decided to do what we know worked under the old FS's instructions last time (16 progy a day) - even though new FS and Serum don't believe in such high doses of meds. Their view is that the body can only absorb a certain amount of progy and after that the dose is wasted. Maybe, but that doesn't explain why I responded to 16 progy when I didn't respond to 4 or 8 progy. I will use the oestrogen patch too - twice a week per my Oz FS instructions, and not every second day per the Greek FS instructions. This is just as back up, I don't think I'll actually need it but I'm covering my bases. I won't use the viagra. My friend who responds similarly to me (she is the one with the viagra - but not enough to get me through to Athens) said the patches did very little for her. If the body only absorbs a certain amount anyway, what's the harm in using the patches when its for a short time.

I'm exhausted. I was tired from prednislone affected sleep, then I trained this morning, then a long day, and I need to be back in the office by 7:00 to meet some deadlines tomorrow ... I need to get me to Athens for a rest!

Sorry for the me post (yet again) Hope all you're all doing well

I can completely understand not wanting to muck around trying new things when you know what has worked in the past! Boy it sounds like a rough couple of days. Do try and relax some!

DP gets read in the face regularly anyway but I have noticed it redder of late. Not any night sweats yet but her sleep was affected this time

    Gonal starts tonight
