    What is the saizen?

Im tired after a big day but excited I finally started the pill today and have my plan I just need to have a close look tomorrow and get my head around it and travel and work and scans its all a bit overwhelming..... how do you manage 3 scans in 6 days while working and 4.5 hours travel each time ..then epu2 days later then transfer 2 more days later....apparently I can have them here...the scans but i will pay full out of pocket each time if I dont utilise the clinic

Anyway maybe I stay at my sisters and arrange to have time off or work from her place...sounds easy but not as i am supposed to manage a clients store on each of those days....doh

So it begins....so excited...took mum with me today she even was there for the scan..get this...after trying to find out about the fibroid since sept...asking a gyno...and special gyno surgeon, gp and fs in january...all saying...nahhh dont worry about it....the fs today is very concerned about it.... we just go ahead for now *sigh* my faith in docs is so diminished...obviously from recent events and this mole on my neck have had all my life all the sudden its tripled in size changed colour and hurting and the doc says leave it ....needless to say im going to a skin specialist asap...I digress as usual...

I think it will be 2 embies at 2 days and ICSI thanks to DH not trying to improve morphology b4 last test

Also I asked about just harvesting eggs with no transfer and just freezing and they said it wont make any difference in saving egg age than having a fresh transfer as well...I said what if I get bfp make it to 8 weeks., MC then wait a month or more thats 3 months minimum lost she still didnt see the difference. ?.you girls do that all the time dont you?

    Yay for cycle #1

Saizen is a human growth hormone and is supposed to help with egg quality. It is very expensive at around $165 per day and you get nothing from Medicare for it.

Precious40, I have no idea about those levels as my clinic doesn't do blood tests in the tww, but at least you're still in the game! Hope the next week goes quickly for you! I always test early, I want to know before the actual day to get myself used to it and so it's not so much of a shock.

Precious, glad to hear you're still in the running. It's good that your clinic does TWW bt's.

MrsMac, glad to see you back, and congratulations on being able to start your cycle. Hope that your mole turns out not to be anything worrying. Are you asking about a "freeze all" cycle, where they freeze anything suitable and you don't have a transfer? I've done those, but on my first cycle, I did have a fresh transfer.

Yes Springrain I think thats what I mean...freeze all. I dont want to do it first or even second cycle but it depends what happens.,, ive had it myself and seen it enough with you girls, if you get a bfp and it ends in tears by the time you get through it all and wait for af for 60 days so much time goes by....it seems like stockpiling eggs asap is better than maybe fewer goes in the same time.., at any rate seems like my clinic dont think so

Hang in there precious its such a long time to wait I know

MrsMac, I know the process seems all very daunting & you do worry about how you are going to fit it into your work/life but you just do. I've learnt not to worry about when everything is going to fall throughout the cycle & just deal with it when it happens & when I know for sure. Otherwise you'll drive yourself crazy trying to work it all out.
With regards to freeze all, fresh cycles etc, unfortunately I've never had a choice.... Every cycle for me is a fresh.... Ching Ching
    All the best!

    Thanks chiefs girl and springy!
    im d2 jabbing right now.
feeling a bit anxious this cycle... It's been a while getting to this point, a few barriers needed to be overcome. My bp has been too high (possibly from the birth control pill) so have needed time to sort that out. Surprise surprise it went away after I stopped it but this has made regulating cycles difficult. When I say high blood pressure Im talking 220+, it made me pretty sick, so after reinventing the wheel, I'm half sorted out lol. It's gone back to normal off the pill on no medication so I'm happy about that.

Chiefsgirl I was offered saizen but declined as I already have 3 types of multiple tumours (fibroids, 2 different types of breast - all benign) - so did not want to pour petrol on that fire lol. The research looks promising though so hopefully the cost of it will save you in the long run.

anyway I am thinking egg growing thoughts until scan Monday. Hope ur all doing well, have been reading away trying to catch up.

so overjoyed for those of you who were lucky enough to give birth to your precious bubbies.... Well done, and best of luck for those waiting for the big day!
