Omg vixjc you had me laughing out loud at that! I never knew my sick leave balance before ivf, but 4 cycles as well as FS follow ups and pre appointments followed by immune specialists and ops means 10 days don't go far. Didn't help that I got made redundant 1 month before my wedding and then came back from honeymoon and started this job. So I have no sick leave accrued, and I hardly had sick days before!

So if DH goes out to Greece by himself now, does that mean you will be by yourself when you go? Is it like a stim cycle or do they freeze the embies and thaw them when you're ready?

I don't know how you are feeling, or the emotions you are going through, but I believe everything is probably normal and def understandable given what you are about to undertake. I have everything crossed that this is the one for you.

Appreciate your thoughts... at first clinic (2 cycles with Next Gen) they prescribed Crinone for Progesterone support. At second clinic (5 cycles at IVFA) they prescribed Pessaries for progesterone support. Here at clinic number 3 (one and only cycle at Fert First) they said no, they don't think either does anything. Now I've had the transfer, I'm wondering whether I should have pushed the issue. I don't have any pessaries left, but I do have two boxes on Crinone... should I use them?

I'd use the crinone too Bertie. At worst, it will make no difference. Just one a day.....

Congrats Precious - 4 is awesome!

MGCBertie - embrace the crinone I say. Can't hurt! (well actually, those pessaries can hurt - sharp little buggers if you angle them the wrong way) but I say do what gives you peace of mind. This is your last OE go isn't it? You don't want to wonder "what if" afterwards ...
I've never heard of not using progesterone support with an IVF cycle.

Chiefsgirl - I will be travelling alone when I go to Greece for my cycle. They will freeze DH's sperm, then they time the donor's cycle so her EPU is either just before or just after I get to Greece. They fertilise her fresh eggs with DH's frozen goodies, then I get a 5 day transfer ... that's the plan. (The clinic anticipates having three embies to transfer and some to freeze - amazing.)

I hope my donor's cycle runs like clockwork! If AF/follie growth ran late it could get tricky! I'll know more, and feel more comfortable when I know where her EPU is - but of course I probably won't know that until I'm about to fly ...
Feels strange to know that hubby's trip is our only opportunity for genetic contribution to this cycle, that after this Friday, its done. I told him to put in his best effort "his best foot forward" so to speak, to make sure his clothes sat loosely on the plane, to walk around a bit and keep the blood flowing, I was full of instructions! Poor man!
