Default Cuts for people who can least afford it

The May budget will be an interesting one.

In the same breath Treasurer Joe Hockey manage to say that the “age of entitlement” is over for individuals and companies while giving away $200 voucher to newlyweds for counselling...

I must admit I'm pretty scared of the cuts they will try to do :-(

What CAN we do to have our say?

Unfortunately we had our say at the election and the majority voted in the Libs. Crazy.

We can only have our say at the next election with our votes!

Surely the budget needs to be discussed and approved by the majority?

I'm only a new Australian so not 100% sure on how politics work here but I assumed we could talk to our local representative?

At least I had my say in the latest childcare productivity commission. That's one thing...

We can call for a no confidwnce vote in the Abbot government in March. Look up "March in March" on facebook.

You can call for whatever you like. You will not find Bill Shorten calling for such a vote in parliament though. It would be extremely embarrassing for him.

That's the awesome thing about being in Australia. We CAN call for whatever we like. We CAN tell the government that they work for the whole of Australia, not just them and the really rich people in the country, every single Australian has a voice.
I plan to use mine, even if people in government don't listen. =)
