I am having trouble staying awake all day.
Bit if history, I was assaulted Australia Day 2013 by my dss's girlfriend which resulted in a broken jaw and losing teeth. I now have a partial plate and it caused a lot of mental problems and self harming, insomnia, etc.
Fast forward to 4 months ago, I was diagnosed with celiac disease and my night time sleeping patterns have improved somewhat with the help if medication. The celiac also caused massive bloating (I looked heavily pregnant) and weight gain.
Ever since, I Nero a nap EVERY SINGLE DAY, sometimes up to 5 hours !!! My problem with this is that I have my 3 year old ds at home with me and he needs me to watch him - not sleep!
I went to the health food shop and they gave me liquid iron and this huge tub of protein powder.
Any ideas of how to stay awake without getting fat? Ie. will protein powder make me fatter? I swim laps in our pool every afternoon for exercise and do lots of yard work on the weekends and some walks to the park and shops with my son.
Will protein help me stay awake? Will liquid iron help? Anything else?
I know it's a long post - sorry, just at my wits end! Please help!
