Default NEWBIE starting IVF with no family or friends in Perth

Hi just wanted to introduce myself - My name is Amanda. I'm 27 and live in Piara Waters, WA. My partner and I have been together for 4 years (he is 29) married for almost 2 and ttc for 1yr. We met in Canada when I was on a working holiday and moved to WA 3 years ago.
I have type 1 diabetes so I got sent to Fertility Specialists South just to get everything checked out and we found out the I have PCOS and my husband has a low count so we are just about to start ICSI.
My husband is FIFO on a 4 weeks on and 1 week off roster so im going to have to go through this process on my own as I don't have any friends in Perth and the only family I have here is my Dad and brother.
So im feeling a little scared/nervous and alone and would love to chat with people who know how it is!
    Good luck everyone xx

Sorry you have to go through ivf/icsi but I hope it's successful for you. We did ivf last year and are super excited that we had success. There's a great ivf under 30 thread, all the ladies there are very friendly and in very similar situations to you.

    Hi Amanda,
IVF can be a lonely thing, I'm sorry your husband has to be away sometimes too, that's rough! But you are not alone, there's lots of us out here in Perth going on a similar journey. My Husband and I are 29, we live in Leederville. Ive got PCOS and a uterine anomaly. We just did our first round of IVF over Christmas, but it was a bit of a disaster. We are just about to start round 2 next week.
I definitely find talkjng about it helps, and this is a good place to start.
I wish you the best of luck with your upcoming cycle.
