    Default Obstetrician in Mater or Royal North Shore Sydney

    Hello,

    I just found out about my pregnancy and now getting all stressed with choosing an Obstetrician. Being new to Sydney we do not have friends to seek information from.

    I am planning to deliver at Mater or North Shore and need help in choosing an OB and also if they have any midwives.

    My GP suggested:
    Dr Gil Burton
    Dr Michelle Batey
    Dr Felicity Gallimore
    Dr Ann MacGibbon

    It would be great if anybody could guide me with your opinions.

    Gil Burton is supposed to be awesome.
    I delivered at RNSPH but used Steven Tan.

    Dr Burton delivered my DD at the Mater. He was standing in for Dr Tan. He was excellent , very calm reassuring. He was my first choice but at 5 weeks he wasn't taking anymore patients. Dr Gallimore is the other one I have heard wonderful things about. Book in early!
    Dr Stephen Tan managed my pregnancy and delivered my 2 nephews. I would highly recommend him.

    And I loved the Mater! A beautiful experience with amazing staff and support!
