Default Obstetrician in Mater or Royal North Shore Sydney

    Hello,

I just found out about my pregnancy and now getting all stressed with choosing an Obstetrician. Being new to Sydney we do not have friends to seek information from.

I am planning to deliver at Mater or North Shore and need help in choosing an OB and also if they have any midwives.

    My GP suggested:
    Dr Gil Burton
    Dr Michelle Batey
    Dr Felicity Gallimore
    Dr Ann MacGibbon

It would be great if anybody could guide me with your opinions.

Gil Burton is supposed to be awesome.
I delivered at RNSPH but used Steven Tan.

Dr Burton delivered my DD at the Mater. He was standing in for Dr Tan. He was excellent , very calm reassuring. He was my first choice but at 5 weeks he wasn't taking anymore patients. Dr Gallimore is the other one I have heard wonderful things about. Book in early!
Dr Stephen Tan managed my pregnancy and delivered my 2 nephews. I would highly recommend him.
