I just used the oral capsules to insert. I would wear a sanitary liner as they can get messy

Yes available at the chemist. I'd send you mine but they're out of date so not sure how effective they are. I inserted 3-4 oral capsules before I went to bed and wore a liner as pp said it can get messy. I also used to prick one with a pin and massage my perineum to help stretch it.

I'm not sure but afterwards my midwife said I had a very efficient uterus as it had shrunk down quick rapidly. I would have had a very quick 2nd stage as well if my bub hadn't of had his hand up by his head (i remember my midwife commenting on how quickly I was progressing with the 2nd stage) - 2nd stage was an hour all up (so not super quick).

I had one rl tablet a day from 30 weeks, two a day from about 36 weeks and tea 2-3 times a week. At 39 weeks I started having 1-2 cups of rl tea a day (I had my bub at 41+1).

Just a word of caution with evening primrose. I read somewhere inserting it this way can cause waters to break before bub is ready to come. So no contractions and needing induction. Maybe do some research first? Just letting you know. Not sure how common this is though

Considering dtd is one way of also ripening the cervix I think this would only be an issue if you are already on the nothing up there instructions ( as there's no way you could get up there more than hubbies appendage )

oops sorry thanks for correcting I did know that but completely mixed them up :-). If it helps I used raspberry leafed tea for my 4th and had him in 3 hours of labour with strong contractions I did not use it for my 3rd baby and labour lasted 12 hours..... I was drinking the actual tea which is quite nice 3-4 times a day from 37 weeks I had him at 39.

Started taking two a day as instructions say so. Can i up it to 3 a day after a couple days or should i stick to the reccomended dose?
Hopeing it makes my labor easier Ive been reading about it heaps lately as i was scared it would induce somehow as sister in law said she took it and had her baby prem. The last thing i want is to induce myself but thank goodness thats not what its supposed to do as most people think.
