Default Drs certificate to go back to daycare after being sick?

My daughter goes to daycare on Wednesdays. Last Wednesday she was diagnosed with croup and the dr put her on steroids and said to keep her away from other kids for 5 days, which I have done. I didn't tell daycare that she had croup (at the time I didn't know), I just said she had a cough and fever. I know all centres are different but generally, is drs clearance required after all illnesses or only certain illnesses? Just wondering if I'm going to have to take her back to the Dr before she goes to daycare on Wednesday (especially since she occasionally is still coughing but the Dr said the cough can hang around for weeks).

Nope you wouldn't need a certificate for that one, unless your centre has a particulate strict policy!
