Hi little sparrow do you have any frosties ? I know some people have spotting especially if you used pessaries. I refused to use them and did the pregnyl shots instead.

I have 3 frosties but I'm not feeling confident about them. Hopefully it is just the pessaries, I wasn't able to use pregnyl this time as I had mild OHSS. I'm trying to remain positive. Official test day isn't until next Friday by I think I might have to POAS before then.

AFM I think it is going to be a BFN for me. I am currently 9dp2dt and had a bit of spotting this morning and a headache last night and this morning. CD 28 and I haven't had a 28 day cycle since before I started IVF, usually 35 days so that would be typical.
Little Sparrow - I had exactl the same this last cycle and was convinced I was going to get a BFN because it was too late for implantation bleeding but I got my BFP instead. My FS said implantation doesn't cause a bleed, its actually a small bleed when your period might have come in and its just the hormones ... so I know how crushing getting that bleed is at this stage, but I'll have fingers crossed that your bfp is just around the corner And I bled all the way till 9.5 weeks when I lowered by pessaries ... I'm convinced the bleeding was linked to the pessaries - so Helsbaby is spot on there! Good luck!

Thanks so much for the words of encouragement girls. You have made me feel much better. I'm still unsure about when I should test, may try and hold out to Wednesday.

LittleSparrow I'd be stoked with that many frosties. I'd be stoked with one frostie!! Must be so hard stopping yourself from POAS, I'd probably have to. Fingers crossed for you lovely!!

Sorry Kelly that was insensitive I was having a rather emotional day yesterday and had had a tough week at work. Onwards and upwards today is a new day, no more spotting and feeling stronger. I don't know how people keep this up for years, IVF is one tough gig.
I hope you are feeling stronger, do you know how long the wait is to see Lynne? Will you keep trying with your current FS until then?
I don't know what I'll do if this round doesn't work as I am in Hobart so there is only 1 FS, I might start researching Sydney apparently Genea get good results.

Not insensitive at all LittleSparrow, I'm happy for you that you have frosties, you've been through a tough ride and deserve success!

It is a tough gig LittleSparrow and immediately after my cycle failed earlier this week, that crushing disappointment was almost too much, enough to almost put me off wanting to go there again. I have a pretty wonderful life outside of all this and it was tempting to just go back to it. But then I keep trying to imagine me as an old lady looking back at my life and thinking, did I do everything I could? Hard to maintain the strength and even harder doing it without a partner but we'll get there!!

Glad the spotting has stopped for now LS, keep us in the loop.

I don't know how long the wait is for Lynn yet although I am sure it will be 6-8 weeks. They won't book me in yet until they've seen my history and decide if she can help. Hoping I can get on a wait list for a cancellation, I'll take a day off work if need be. If she won't take me I will cycle again with current FS but not if I have an apt with Lynn. I think I'll wait it out. Forfeit my donor sperm but oh well.

Hey Jem70, big welcome to you lovely!

We are almost identical in our stories, except I have very very low amh, less than 1. Hmm picked your FS because she was good with singles - I did exactly the same thing! I am wondering if we have the same FS, I mentioned her name earlier in the thread I think. Can I PM you if you are not happy to discuss openly? This FS as good as gave up on me - her words were (after egg pickup of 2 eggs that didn't fertilise), we gave it a good shot. I said, hang on.. what are our next steps for trying again and she said I was welcome to cycle again but I felt she wasn't overly interested. Disappointing. I appreciate the fact they are trying to keep things real but I really do not feel that we have thrown anywhere near everything at this. Thus I'm looking elsewhere even though I've paid their ridiculously expensive donor mgement fee and only used it once. When I emailed her assistant to ask how I was to obtain my history so I could get a second opinion, the normally very friendly assistant kind of gave me the cold shoulder. I found the mivf donor management nurse cold and unhelpful and didn't really enjoy the whole process, it added extra stress. I totally wish I had started at Monash and with a doc who specialises in older women as well!! Okay MIVF rant over (nice to meet someone I can vent to!!)

Can I ask what protocol you had them try that has given you these excellent egg numbers (congrats by the way, you must be thrilled!!)? And how did they take you suggesting it?

    Hi kelly70
I felt really sad that my clinic weren't interested in cycling me again. I only heard over the phone from a FN that my blood test was had poor figures and I was cancelled there and then and after asking where I should go from here she said to consider a donar egg possibly with another clinic, end of conversation.

Almost two weeks on I'm ready to contact another FS. I've done a bit more research and am going to try a seemingly popular FS called Dr Ong, he's only ever done IVF and not been an Ob first crossing over to IVF. Lots and lots of positive feedback.

I've been following the posts over the last two weeks and wish you all the luck in the world that this new FS can help you x
