Totally. I think we've been lead to believe that it's fine to not think about kids till your mid 30's when in reality while you might be ok - there's no guarantee at all and early to mid thirties can easily turn into late 30's early 40's if you have fertility issues or a miscarriage or two.

I think most young men and women would be surprised to know the average age of couples in fertility treatment. There's still a lot of stigma attached to it (driven partly by articles about near-50 year olds having success) but actually I feel old compared to some of the women at my clinic and I'm 33.

I think the taboo around MFI has a lot to do with it as well.

Apparently she is going to talk about it on her show tomorrow morning then has an article in women's weekly on Thursday. We will see, but good on Mary Coustas for her refreshing honesty on the subject. I must say that if I'm completely honest, I suffered from 'I will be the exception' syndrome and hat tip to Sonia Kruger for admitting the same.

Back on the progesterone pessaries - and excuse this TMI - but I just lost easily half of one I inserted about 2pm today. It was not even dissolved really. Argh. That's the first one that has come out to that capacity.

Happened to me too @Kelly70. I assumed the drug itself made its way into your system pretty quickly and that was just leftover. It's pretty unpleasant but hopefully its making a nice little cocoon for your embie.

Hi everyone, I'd like to put my two bob in about celebs and babies at mid 40 and beyond.
I think it's really nobodies business what, how, when they conceive, however the journalists and magazines reporting and making money through these "miracle" stories should be held accountable in some way because they are not giving the public an even eyed view of reality.
Perhaps running the main story with a side line or boxed info fact beside the main story which states the Australian statistics of conceiving naturally vs IVF own eggs Vs IVF donor eggs? Wouldn't this be a more responsible way of sharing a story and some hard facts so the reader could be more informed on the picture overall without more prying into that celeb's life?
Mags like New I and WWeekly marieC etc (goss tabloids) need to up the ante on their content. As women's magazines dealing with women's issues reaching the broad population they clearly have a responsibility and should lean towards educational journalism not sensational journalism.

Hi @Kelly70 - just had a read back to catch up and see what's up!
Those pessaries sound like a delight...hope your nausea isn't too bad. But as feeling seedy is one of the classic signs of pregnancy - who cares, right!? @Kellyk77 how are you traveling out there? Has AF shown up yet, how are your levels? Are you ok? @littlesparrow74 - how are you? Hugs. @ScubaGal how's you're "holding pattern going? @Jem70 I'm on my ph and couldn't seem to catch up with your news @missybear - did you discover where AF has gone for vacation?

AFM - got an appt with FS tomorrow.
Just need to hear what other tricks may be up his sleeve - if any.
I keep in mind he and one of the nurses said it's pretty much as good as it's going to get. One follie. One egg. One chance. I think it's a plod on for me... Slim chances. But DH and I discussed this and have some cash so will carry on.
Going to jump on a plane after that appt and find some crocs to wrestle up Nth. We both need a break and sunshine so "tally ho!" Will let y'all know what happens from then into the next cycle.
    ✨✨✨🌈✨✨✨

Ah Biscotti darling so glad you are continuing on and trying again. I think you and I will always have a very low response to the drugs - but all you need is for that one follicle to contain a goodie and you'll be on your way. I'm still in shock that my one follie fertilized and turned into a 5 cell mini me. There is hope I reckon. Just need to find a way via medication to coax a good one to the top of the pile.

I'll be trying again if this fails.

Enjoy the break - sun, sea, rest and a cocktail or two should be just the ticket
