I did read around and saw some stuff on tripadvisor re the basic standard of the rooms, but I wasn't concerned. It is only 3.5 star and the 'affordable' whitsundays option after all. Honestly just going to the islands would be such an amazing experience in itself, as long as there's no bed bugs I'm not complaining about where we stay! :P but I can't justify spending more on food for the 3 days then the accommodation. The food costs as much as our return flights for crying out loud! I see now why people go overseas before they go to whitsundays lol $$$$$

I'd be calling the resort or a travel agent to confirm.

The island is amazing. Let me post some pics

We stayed there a few years ago & I definitely wouldn't use the word 'clean' to describe it. The rooms were tiny & uncomfortable, the food was okay some days. It is not somewhere I would ever return & I feel it is very over priced.

Check out Daydream, from memory it wasn't that much dearer.

We stayed there around four years ago just DH and I before kids. We have a package where we got beach front room, all food included (which was great) as well as massages and a romantic private boat trip to a island for a picnic. I think it was some kinda romance package? Anyways we loved it, found the room to be basic but clean. We went to Hamilton Island for our honeymoon which we loved but the food was soooo expensive but soooo nice!!!

Maybe ring them and say you are thinking if staying but need a family deal with food included for the kids and see what they can come up with? It's a beautiful place enjoy
