Default iTunes - I have no idea how to use it pls help

I have a hypnobirth CD which I want to listen to. I used to have a portable CD player which broke.

Anyway DH has the cd loaded on his itunes account and he's managed to put it on his phone and I really want it on mine but when we tried to do it, it said it would over ride everything I had on y iPhone?

How can I get just the Hypnobirthing tracks on my phone?

Do you sync your phone to a separate iTunes account?
If so, copy the cd to your iTunes account and when you sync your phone you should be ok to copy the tracks into your phone.
    Make sense??

Otherwise, if you share an account, when you next sync your phone, check the manually manage music box. You can then drag the cd to your phone and it should put it on there.

We have different user profiles, so do not share computer space iykwim.

You should have the option to switch user or Apple ID. Perhaps under preferences?

Where do you sync your iPhone?

I use a mac, not a PC so may not be much help

    I just had a thought.

when you connect your iPhone to the computer and were trying to add the cd to your phone, was it due to automatic syncing that the computer stated the info would wipe everything from your iPhone?

When I entered preferences on iTunes, and I clicked on the devices tab, there was a check box to prevent automatic syncing of iPods, phones etc.
This may give you the chance to work out how to do it.

Otherwise, like another user said, you should be able to use your husband's iTunes account on your iPhone. Go to the settings tab and then click on iTunes & app store tab and you can change your apple id to your husbands. You should then be able to download the content from his iTunes. You choose the hypnobirthing cd and go from there. Not sure if you will lose that content when you change back to your own apple id though.

Otherwise put the cd on your computer or the iTunes account you use.

If you've got the latest itunes, top left corner is a square. The square is half black, click it. Then click iTunes Store and then sign out. Then do the same again and click sign in. Now sign in with your Apple ID.
