Thanks @miissalina! Trying to stay positive but ugh so easy to feel otherwise. Will try keep my positive hat on tho xx

@frenchy81 out of the 14, 10 were mature - but only 4 fertilised. DH's sperm count & stats were even lower than last time, so I assume that played some factor as to why more weren't fertilised?

@AAA I'm still so confused about what makes them decide whether you should have a 3dt or 5. They've advised me that 5 is what I should go with this time (which is what we did last cycle too).
What was the reason they gave you to go for a 3dt rather than 5? Just purely due to only having 1 embie? Or due to other factors too?

Actually she advises it for all of her clients. She didnt go into much detail, but the nurses said something along the lines of embies liking to develop back in their natural environment so to speak. I think the main reason people opt for the 5d is to pick a strongest contender where there are multiple options. I didn't have options so didn't discuss it further at the time. In my previous round I had 3dt too so can't compare it to then either sorry.

Ah yes makes sense! That's the thinking behind my FS/clinic - wait it out to pick the cream of the crop, so to speak. Guess it just depends on each persons individual situation etc. Thanks for the info hun xx

Nice score there @frenchy81! I'd be surprised if it wasn't twins!

I don't think you can tell by hcg alone if its twins. My 5w bloods on Friday were 5741!! And I had a scan at the hospital on Sunday due to constant spotting to rule out ectopic and there was only one sac and yolk and my hcg then at 5w2d was 8700ish.

    But fingers crossed

Those are awesome numbers @frenchy81! Glad everything is on track for you

@Sparklemonkey did they find out what the constant spotting is due to?

Unfortunately not... And it hasn't stopped really. Its not a lot, not even enough to warrant a liner (except on Sunday which is why I went to the hospital) but enough to concern me seeing as every other time I've had it it has been bad. Just a waiting game now till my scan next Wednesday. I'll be 6w5d so they said we should hear the heart beat. I do still have all the symptoms. Sore boobs, nausea, so tired and bloating!!
