    Good luck HOF.

AF due today and cramping already so at least I should know I'm out by the end of the day.

Such generosity of the surrogate mother and the looks of absolute joy, love and adoration on the faces of the IPs was just lovely. I'm not sure I could do it myself - but then again I don't have kids yet. Perhaps once my family is complete it might be different. Can I ask HOF, did you know the IPs prior to becoming their surrogate? I can't work out if it would be easier/harder if you knew/didn't know the intended parents. Good luck for the next 2 weeks! Hope it's a smooth ride and you get a pos result
Thanks hun I have known them for a few years just not really close til now.

On a hunch, I checked my diary this morning to see when I had my second surge last month. Turned out it was 10 days after the first one. I'm 8DPO today from my first surge, so went and tested.

I can't work out if it's positive. My initial thought was no but, after looking at it again, I'm now thinking it could be as dark as the test line. Thoughts?

Hi all- I've been following these threads for awhile - hope it's okay to join?

I'm on day 30 of my cycle, which is normally 28-29 days- getting nervous.. We've been trying for our second for over 12 months now and are both 34-

If af is still not here by tomorrow I might do a test... Could you put me down for
    Tues 18th?

Fx.. and baby dust, for all those still waiting to test

I don't know why you are having double surges though?

I've been having double surges for months. I'd get three days of pos opks and then another three a week later. I'd know because of ewcm.

Then this cycle, only one day of pos opk and no ewcm.

Apparently it can mean either first attempt at O fails or some people O twice a month. I think only temping could help you figure out which.

That's really interesting shrillian and lolamc, I didn't know O could happen twice in a cycle. I guess it gives you two chances at conceiving, assuming you have a decent luteal period.

Welcome sevenseas and good luck! I'll also be testing tomorrow if no AF. Fingers crossed!

Thanks, hun. I'll confirm tomorrow as second round of O and Wednesday as second 1DPO.

Yeah, it's confusing me as well!!

TMI - Just had that wet feeling of "oh no! AF is here!". Went to the loo and nothing. Except for a couple of dark brown spots on the panty liner.

I really sometimes feel like I just want to give up TTC the old fashioned way and head down the science way. Sigh.

@champagne - like @Lolamc said, the first time can just be a "misfire" where you surge, but no egg releases.

However I got side cramps on my right surrounding the previous surge, so guessing I did O that weekend. I'm trying to remember, but this surge I don't think I did get cramps - got some minor cramps across the whole bottom area this morning, but I wouldn't necessarily put it to O. More constipation style, if anything else!! *laughs*

    So, today I'm 8DPO or 1 day pre-O.

    Sigh.

I'll see if I can convince DH to DTD tonight in case I do O tomorrow.

Hoping though that the spots from just now are implantation though. Fx! (Silly Shrillian - stop symptom spotting!)
