I actually agree with you Squishy (though there must be so much variable on what is a normal / average ovulation time from pos OPK depending on the person, the tests you're using etc etc). I got a pos OPK on Saturday night & Sunday morning (I stopped testing after that) and I am 99% sure that I ovulated Sunday night around 7pm as I felt it. I have always thought you should assume you ovulate around 12-36hrs after your first pos opk?? But I could be wrong!

Everyone is different. My FS said to bd until at least 4 days after suspected o.

Ive done some reading and found this on Babymed

"Q: Does that mean that the first day of negative OPKs after a positive OPK is the actual day of ovulation?
A: Ovulation does not necessarily happen after the OPK turns negative. It could happen, but that's not the rule. What matter solely is when it OPK FIRST turns positive not when it eventually becomes negative. Ovulation happens within12-36 hours after the OPK FIRST becomes positive. What happens afterwards is not important. It could be positive for a day only or for 3-4 days. The length of it being positive doesn't predict when ovulation happens

    Hope this helps us ladies

    Damn, these opk's are confusing.

How much is it affected if you don't test at the same time every day? Sorry, maybe a stupid question, but it's my first month using them

This is the reason I'm concerned we didn't catch the egg this recent surge. We only DTD once as DH was being a poopy head who was constantly cranky and not in the mood.

No they say you O 12-36 after opk turn NEG, not after it turns pos. You could have a pos reading for 3-4 days. Or in my instance 5-6 days.

I see there's been an article posted saying opposite to what I just posted. I can guarantee that every single month I have O'ed after it's turned neg, not after first pos. guess everyone's different.

    Thanks, hun.

It was the morning after the positive OPK, so hoping that would have been enough. Still holding hope, but trying not to build up hope, if that makes any sense?

Perhaps it depends on the OPK?

    I just checked my packet:

Going by that, I assume O would most likely be the next day after the positive.
