    Hi all,

This is my very first post! Its my 2nd time TTC for our 1st child.

I drove myself (and DH) crazy symptom spotting and POAS last month (excitement of first timer even though the sensible and realistic side of me knows this may take a while!) so I need an outlet to talk to others in same position as me as we are keeping it quiet from friends and family.

Due to test on 3rd March.

Fingers and toes crossed for us all

Welcome back! Glad to hear your break helped! I was doing similar but made this thread beforehand so I guess next time I did however delete my app, and have no opks! So we have just been dtd every 2nd day (plus vday) and are seeing how things go! Now I just need to relax for my tww which I think has just started!

Hi lovelies, Shadow can I please be added to the 22nd? That should be the day AF is due. Will probably test a day or two earlier but will try to hold out. AF reared her ugly head yesterday afternoon. It has been 15mths TTC for us so far, so heading into 16. Cycles are roughly 34 days which makes it drag even longer. Going to try to get back into a positive frame of mind again for this cycle. The 24th March will be our 2nd wedding anniversary so fx we can have our BFP for then 😄.

Hugs Jessi. We've been ttc nearly 16 months & my cycles are normally between 30 & 35 days, but I've had a couple go past 40, so I know what you mean about it dragging. fx you get your BFP for your wedding anniversary. I'm still hoping I get mine for my 4th wedding anniversary on 27 Feb, but it's not looking likely. I'm either 6dpo or 12dpo, so I guess I'll find out soon.

    Hi Funchu & Jessi,

Before I conceived my DS (after coming off the pill) I had 35 - 40 day cycles too (oddly after giving birth when AF returned my body reset itself to a standard 28-30 day cycle and its been that way ever since). Anyway, the month I conceived DS I did OPK's from the moment AF finished to when I got my pos HPT, sounds obsessive but I really wanted to see what was happening with my cycle, I actually suspected that I might have had PCOS at the time because I was getting all these pos OPK's (you can get false pos with PCOS) so I did a whole cycle of OPK's and it appeared that I either ovulated twice or at least had 2 surges, one around CD17 and again around CD22, if I hadn't of continued with the OPK's for a full cycle I would never have picked up the 2nd surge and that is definitely the time DS was conceived, I had cramping 7DPO and pos HPT 9DPO. Could it be possible that because of your long cycles you are having multiple surges and missing ovulation if its later than you suspect as you have stopped testing due to thinking you have already ovulated!? Sorry if you've covered this ground already, just thought I'd share my experience.

    Good luck this month

Jumping in on this one as I think this might be spot on for me as well. I'm just experiencing a second surge this month.

Thanks for the info - I'll continue to monitor with OPKs!
