    Default X5 Steam Mop

I know there are some older threads on this, but has anyone bought the X5 steam mop recently?
I have been looking for a steam mop for ages and this on appealed as it has attachments to do other areas (like the carpets,.oven, blinds etc).
I have polished floorboards throughout and this claims to be safe on them.
Any feedback on this item would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I bought one about 2yrs ago, it lasted a year, then died. It was ok for a bit. They handle seems flimsy though.

by the looks they are rubbish.

I bought a shark lift away model recently and it's absolutely brilliant! no leaking, no streaking of my wood floor boards. You can pull the main part out as a hand held steamer.

My advice. Buy something decent. You get what you pay for with steam mops.

I did see the shark lift away on TV too. Is it a better design and quality?

I haven't seen or used the x5 to compare only going on the reviews. But I have found the shark is pretty well made and sturdy without being too heavy. The two biggest complaints of the x5 it seems is that it leaks water and it's flimsy. The shark seems much better and the attachments are good quality as well. They are worth around $300, but you can get them off ebay for around 200 I think.
