Ok, so here is my first real question:

This venue is the top of my list for reception- DF loves the food there and I love that it's a restaurant and not an actual 'function centre' place- that's the good thing about having limited guests

It's an old flour mill that was built very early on when the town sprung up which has now been re purposed. But it's beautiful red brick and old timber and windows everywhere, and they've fitted it out with chandeliers and everything to make it look stunning....

I was previously thinking of having a blush pink sort of theme, but I think it wouldn't look right in this restaurant.. so what other colour suggestions would you all have? Keeping in mind I'm not one to go for typical red, or blue etc. I like something a bit different (which was the problem with the blush, it was becomingtoo popular anyway)

My bridesmaid will have on an infinity wrap dress like this (not that colour though):
    1750873_111023181305_Poppies_2.jpg

Which I have found instructions for my Mum to make (got to keep her busy!)

So- hit me with colour theme suggestions!

What about earthy tones? Greens or even black?

This is a screenshot of the dress I (currently) love. It will be our of my price range though, so I'd need to find a similar style.

    Ohhh that venue is Devine.

Too bad you don't want red because it would be stunning.

Black and white too common too??

    That place is beautiful noms!

I agree with mrJones&me, neutral tones /earthy colors would suite the venue best.

Nomsie, I had my bridesmaids in a navy blue and had a colour theme of navy, white and silver. It's a colour that suits almost everyone regardless of their skin colour too. I know you said you didn't want blue, but it's not the usual baby blue that many people go for.

For those of you talking honeymoons, we were initially looking at Hayman island for ours, but would you believe it was actually cheaper for us to go to Vanuatu. We stayed at a beautiful resort called "The Havannah". I know there's someone else on BH who went there as well. It's adults only and only 16villas so maximum of 32 guests at any one time. It's ideal for those who just want to kick back and relax, plus the food is sensational. (I put on 5kg in the week we were there 😕)

I like earthy tones... I also like navy. I saw a colour palette the other day of navy blue and watermelon pink. Looked awesome, just don't know if I could survive the pink? (Not a huge bright pink fan)

    Here it is...

    I like it... but I don't think it's right...

I guess it depends what sort of tone you're setting for your wedding. Is it more formal in which case something like navy, deep red, gold, silver etc could work, or is it more fun and funky in which case brighter colours would work. I'm not a huge hot pink colour either, but that does look kinda funky. You could always tone down the pink as well and have it as an accent colour instead of a feature colour.
