Finally had the chance to watch the interview, thought that you were speaking about the one with stupid Katie Hopkins sorry.

From what I heard she said "putting your baby in a room and closing the door is wrong to me."
I totally agree with anyone saying that CC and CIO aren't the same thing, but also don't think its unreasonable for her to think people close the door while doing CC either? I'm sure some do!

It was such a small snippet of the interview really and she didn't exactly have time to elaborate with that stupid panel interrupting her mid sentence over and over again (who the heck are they? they're awful!!)

Watching the interview I don't think she was mocking anyone? I do think she used a poor choice of words when she said "that's not normal" but i do think she is just trying to justify her way of parenting after so much scrutiny

Yes, actually mocked is the wrong word to describe it; she is putting down the CC method, though, perhaps in defense of AP.
I didn't know that she had been ridiculed about her AP choices and haven't watched that interview. It's wrong to judge her and also wrong for *her* to judge.

AP parents get ridiculed all the time, the fact she was on a day time tv channel in 2014 having to "explain" it to probably the worst interviewers I've ever seen asking her silly questions - it's obvious that AP is still seen by the main****** as not common , that man scoffed or said yuk at a 2 year old breastfeeding , I just think she was giving her opinion on how she parents, I don't think she was judging at all

That's how I took it too. Especially because in the other interview and ones I've read with her she always states "it works for me" and "I don't care what other people do". Even in this interview she said something along the lines of "closing the door and letting the baby cry isn't normal" which honestly, a lot of people believe. She didn't say "CC is wrong"

ETA - it sucks that people took offense to what she said, it's a crap feeling when you feel you're being judged. So I can see what parents who have CC are defensive, just as I can see why "AP parents" are defensive.

I guess I am an "AP parent" (I didn't know that term before kids though and wasn't something I planned), I co sleep, baby wear and don't use CC (but I have also been blessed with great sleepers so hey, who knows how id feel otherwise!). I have copped a lot of criticism for how I parent, I've been told I'm going to have clingy kids who don't know how to be independent, heard the SIDS argument more times than I can count, heard my kids will be behind when it comes to crawling/walking because I cuddle them too much, you name it I've heard it. So I so jump to people like peaches defense because Im sure she's over it like I am haha. But I also see why parents who have used CC would be defensive because they'd hear just as much judgement.

At the end if the day we all so what we need to do to get by, and as long as our kids are safe and not neglected that's the main thing.

Bingo! Peaches in glass houses shouldn't thrown stones.!..

I actually think her age isn't an issue. Her name is probably indicative of the type of home she grew up in ... A bit of a free spirit leaning towards the AP style and probably not understanding of those in a leas fortunate circumstance.

Either way I think she's a bit of a knob. Not sure why. The drop the baby while carry the phone thing doesn't help her 'perfect mature mother' image.

She's not trying to create a perfect mother image. She's just talking about AP as a parenting style.
