Another fan of the Braun thermoscan. I found it cheapest online.

I recommend the Braun ear thermometer, bought it when DD1 was a year old, still going strong with DD2 as well. It's one of the best bub-related purchases we ever made .

Yep, Braun here too. We use the Braun at work too (a nursing home) as it's accurate and easy. Great for a squirmy sick baby and cheapish on eBay, worth it in the long run. Easy to replace batteries too so will last toy forever.

    The medscan one is BRILLIANT!

MIL bought it for us. Super easy to use, accurate, and like wise old owl said, you can use it to check room temp and surface temp. I've used the room temp setting quite a lot because it helps me figure out what to dress bub in for bed.

It reads the temp super quickly.

We got a Vicks oral/Axillary thermometer on the weekend called fever insight. It's great and reads in 8 seconds and lights up green orange or red depending on the temp which is great for DH Who is unsure on the levels

Yeah, I have the vicks one. Hate it. She moves, she wants to grab it, you need to swipe it back and forth so she thinks its a game! ... and I don't find it accurate. It was expensive too.
