@Fakedelight: Oops can't PM you until you have 5 posts!

I don't know if you have consecutive miscarriage/chemical pregnancy or not. If you did and with good grade 5 days embies, I would recommend to do NK cell testing. I only know 3 FS that aren't too conservative about doing the BT and biopsy here in Perth. I think GP can even order the BT. As for implantation failure, again, if you have good grade embies, I would recommend implantation screening BT. I've a list of all these. Happy to provide in PM. I can also send you the FS names.

Check out Dr. Sher's blog on IVF or implantation failure. He is a known FS in the States.

Oh...one thing I don't quite understand. What OHSS has to do with blastocyst? Blastocysts can be developed from whatever number of eggs you are having. Although I suspect OHSS patients can get less quality embies and thus don't get to blast stage?

Didn't realise the 5 message limit sorry.
I've had the NK test previously and it was negative. It's been suggested that I do a uterine scratch in the cycle before a transfer the next time we do IVF.

The last fresh cycle we did with a sperm donor, all eggs fertilised but no division at all. We also had two other cycles with heaps of embryos at day 3 that all stopped dividing before day five.

Would love to get the FS names. So far we have been through Doreen Yeap, Mike Aitken and Graeme Thompson. Also have been checked out by Roger Hart through the public IVF clinic and he thinks I could get pg through donor IUI or IVF and recommended the uterine scratch.

I've heart that pivet do a growth hormone protocol for recurrent implantation failure which I'm not sure if it would be suitable, but at least it is something different

I will look up Dr. Sher's blog as well.

The blasts and OHSS things are separate, just different issues that make me think I need to see a different specialist

Try Dr Julia Barton at Hollywood, a friend is seeing her & she seems willing to try other options, even listening to suggestions my friend has made.

Sorry to jump in. Julia Barton is one that doesn't believe a thing about immune problem. It is extremely hard to find one that believes in it when it comes to many ivf failure. Since u said donor embies and no success, i can only think of immune prob.

Did u do NK cell BT or biopsy? Both are different thing. You can have normal BT but high uterine NK cell. Also, implantation screening includes some autoimmune disease BT. This is a general thread so I will just PM you later once yours is activated.

Hey. As bb said try some other approaches. There is a reproductive immunology section that a lot of us are on. I had ohss both times with mine and got to blastos. Still havent had any implant sucess though. The docs at hollywood think immune issues are rubbish. There are 2 docs in perth one at fswa and one at osbourne park (in a private practice)

Like bb said a lot of us go over east.

I am technically at hollywood but I also see dr m in sydney.

    Good luck.

Apologies guys, I didn't mean to hijack the thread, just figured you guys would know more than most people.

I'm not sure immunology is the issue but its all good info

If you are looking for a FS who will do double transfers then try Simon Turner at Hollywood. My single transfers didn't work and as soon as we did a double it did twice

@Fakedelight: No worries. This is what the thread about. A place to find info and support! I didn't want to write a long post which most people don't really care here. I know who Galea was talking about. I am still happy to share FS names in Perth. There is nothing to lose on the immunology front if you have tried everything. After all, you just want a baby, don't you? You don't have to go east just yet. Tests can be done locally. Consults can be done via phone (although no medicare rebate).

    Good luck!

Hi all! I'm from another thread but am also from perth

Dr Craig Purnell at King Ed (can see him as a private pt) is amazing with everything that no one else can figure out. A friend of mine has had 12 miscarriages for implantation failure and she is now 28 weeks pregnant.

I would swear by him, he thinks really outside the box and will try almost anything - she made lots of suggestions to him!

    Default Recommendations

    Hi BBHope,
Long story short I've had 4 full cycles and one FET with no success at FSS.
I had the biopsy and nothing showed up. They are currently reviewing my file and will call next week with a plan of attack.
After checking On here a change could be in order.
I have a reluctant DH so over East could be a problem. It would love some recommendations of who to see and where to go from here if you could :-)
    Thanks
