Welcome to the thread @Society8me. All the best for your journey I too see Dr T and I am also waiting to see him in June after my last failed cycle in March. That was the earliest I could get in to see him. He has very long waiting times so if you think you need a review appointment book ahead you can always cancel your appointment if you don't need it.

Bbhope I googled like a woman possessed when we got the first SA back. Unfortunately DH received that news on his own (something I will always regret) and he called me with the diagnosis on my second day of a new job. It was very overwhelming. I know our chances aren't promising. Unfortunately for us we are a long way from hope, both emotionally and physically. We do not know what type of Azoo it is, obviously we are hoping for NOA. Our waiting for the appointment with Dr. T is painful in the sense that we will hopefully find out if our TTC journey will continue. DH isn't entertaining the thought of donor sperm, he may change his mind but I'm not going to force the issue at this stage. We are taking it day by day. Thank you for your reply, I am sorry you have also experienced MFI to this extent. I was a little naive into thinking TTC would be easy 😞

Babygirl and Ness thank you too. Ness we were told how booked he is, I hope that's a sign he's one of the best. We need the delay in appointments to organise travel into Perth although frustrating in a way it is also a blessing. DHs work isn't playing nice, they still have not approved his leave request to go in June (they've had it for a month). We are both public servants and it's frustrating that he especially gives so much to his work, and gets treated the way he does.

Although I am not religious (more spiritual) I know there is our path waiting to unfold..... I'm just so impatient!

@Society8me: all the best and FX that Dr T finds the swimmers. Yes it is emotionally and physically exhausting. I dont think i really live my life for the past 2 years. I am impressed with others who have tried so many rounds of ivf. It will take a long time to come to term with donor. We are still struggling.....

Default Sperm specialist treatment (quality selection) in Perth?

Does anyone know if there is a clinic that does sperm quality selection for ICSI in Perth?

Apparently there is a way to select the best quality DNA sperm...? Our embies aren't making it to day 6.

Any info anyone has on the process or anyone who does it would be appreciated.

Sharlie: have they done DNA fragmentation test? Did you mean washed sample? I was told by the embryologist that ICSI is already a natural selection. They picked the best looking and the most motile ones (at least thats what my clinic would do in a normal situation). Of course, it didnt apply in our case....

Yes - to combat high DNA fragmentation. I wrote that question while in the fert clinic waiting room.

The process is apparently called IMSI but the specialist said its not proven to increase the live birth rate according to The Cochran Report (whatever that is) so they don't do it.

Fert North does PICSI - which puts the sperm through an extra special "wash". It might just be that your embies dont survive in the lab snd may thrive in the natural environment? Have you asked for earlier transfers? Im pregnant twice off Day 3 Transfers (Fert North only do day 3)

Well over a year ago hubbys dna fragmentation rate was 28 percent. Now its down to 6 percent (what's that about?!), although his new count was very low, down from 5 million previously to 300,000... But we have been doing icsi anyway and managed to freeze some swimmers as a backup. Good news is we won't need imsi / picsi with that DNA frag rate.
