Thank you Booboo and Precious. Thank you I don't have private health but when I looked it didn't seem to cover much of it anyway. Medicare help but that's after you pay the whole amount right??
Sorry I'm new to all of this so bare with me please lol! I'm with Hollywood fertility.

    That's fantastic @Precious40!!!!

    Hi @85Twisty I'm with Hollywood too .

Yes, you get the Medicare payment back after the Egg Collection or transfer?? Can't remember which one....

I found Private Health was great as otherwise we would have had to come up with the additional payment for Day Surgery in the Hospital and The Anaethesist which I don't think Medicaren covers

    Hi @ Lashed!!

How are you finding Hollywood? We just figured we'd pay the day surgery and Anaesthetist as we assumed we would have to wait for private health to cover it and we would be able to save it quicker. It wasn't a huge amount when we looked at it.
We're hopping to have the 10k saved by July August. We don't live in Perth so need to travel down.
    Thank you

I love it at Hollywood! Find hem all lovely and although I lost the bubbas my last round was successful (Cycle 2).

Yeah, I arealdy had Hospital Insurance and probably wouldn't have bothered just for the IVF part. We had our for Maternity and it just happened to cover IVF.

    Good luck!

    Thank you

Are you travelling from far? I'm assuming you have heard of PATS? I was in Newman for 3 years and all my flights were paid for by the government for my appointments etc

I will be traveling from Coolgardie so 600kms. Which is fine luckily we have family in Perth to stay with. And no I haven't heard of PATS. I'm probably to close to qualify

Think you would be covered as I believe it's if you have to travel more than 100kms for treatment. PATS will cover your petrol

I am on holiday. Just a quick post about the PHI. The waiting period for IVF related hospital charges is one yr. We signed up the wrong PHI plan and thus didnt cover our first round of IVF. I thought hospital charges will still be covered with the wrong plan but they said NO because it is IVF related. The best is to ask them so you don't sign up and cant claim anything until a ur from now.
