Default Red wine on white shirt help

    Hi

last year I spilled almost a whole glass of red wine on my DH good white shirt. It hasn't come out by either salt or stain remover. It's been a while since this has happened. As a last resort, could I re dye the shirt white, or should I bin it? The fabric is 100% cotton.

thanks in advance for any advice

There is a special powder you can buy for white clothes that takes out stains. I cannot remember what it's called bit you get if from Coles or woolies and it's a little satchel.

I accidentally washed a white shirt with a red skirt and dyed it an awful pink. This stuff cleaned it right up.

Yep, I can also recommend the same stuff as Mellie, am pretty sure it is called Colour Run Remover, it is meant to be used for whites that have been washed with colours but I got some red wine out of a dress with this stuff. It comes in a little packet, sometimes a bit hard to find but Coles and Woollies have it.

I've dyed a shirt dark because of wine.

Actually white wine takes out red wine stains! Seriously. It does. But I'm not sure it will work since it happened a while ago.
