Well first day down and got my 2L of water in!! I'm also enjoying a lovely camomile tea instead of my usual black one. I only had 1 black tea today .... That's a MEGA difference (oh Lordy I sound like a right Nanna).

Well I slipped today and only had 3.5L... Did everyone/does everyone else also always feel parched from breastfeeding? I'll drink 1.5 - 2L just overnight getting up to bub.

Today I managed 4L and numerous trips to the loo!

Bubblesk, I find I am more parched when I breastfeed for sure, especially when it's an unsettled time and feeding more than usual and It doesn't take much for me to feel dehydrated and head achy if I haven't drunk enough water.

How do you manage drinking so much? Constant sipping or big drinks every couple of hours? Also doesn't it feel like you're forever peeing? I struggle to drink even 600ml for the US's.

Mostly big drinks every couple of hours rather than constant sipping.
I'm 11w PP and being able to have a full bladder is a joy! Rather than that nasty pregnancy bladder!
I'm a nurse so my bladder is trained to hold it indefinitely.
When I used to work on the wards you were always too busy to pee so you gain the ability to be busting but be able to hold it for hours.

No sipping for me, I have a litre jug on the kitchen bench and everytime I'm in the kitchen(which is a lot with kids home) I just pour myself a glass of water till the jug's empty, then I fill it up again and start all over. It's quite easy as hot weather and breastfeeding makes me thirsty!

And yep, I feel like all I am doing is going to the toilet as after 4 kiddies, the ol bladder ain't what I used to be!

Be careful! There's such a thing as drinking too much water. You can get dangerously low sodium levels. You actually only need 4-6 glasses of water a day, as get a lot of fluid in your food intake too.

Your wee shouldn't be completely colour less.

    And ain't that the truth!

I too do like Uniquey does, I have a water bottle on the bench and I sip from it every time I pass it or when ever I am in the kitchen.

1.5l today plus two coffees (and two G&T's )
