Default Emergency services - anyone involved?

Theres been a fire going since midnight not too far from my house. I have to drive out that way in an hour so thinking about taking some coffees / bottles of water to the crews as I pass.

Is anyone involved with emergency services? Would this be appreciated or would I just be getting in the way?

(Sorry mods its probably in the wrong section but I'm hoping to get a reply before I leave!)

I think if it was a big fire the roads up that way would be closed. Check vic roads website (if you're in vic). I've got to drive up near the stawell/grampions fires today and will have to take a detour

I think it would be appreciated to drop water or food at the fire station for them to distribute, I think on the frontline you would get in the way (even with the best intentions)
