Default having your first baby & looking for a positive group with no negative vibes

    Hi ladies,

I have noticed there is alot of negative things being put on these forums and to be honest at such an early stage of pregnancy I think negative things can cause worry and stress for others reading.

I don't mean to sound like I am not being caring & understanding but I am sure others are feeling the same way.

Please come and introduce yourself and share a heart warming story or funny story about your pregnancy so far.

Or just come and chat and make new friends

    Hi!
I love this idea! We're finally pregnant after 5years TTC and trying IVF so I feel extremely blessed to have this little baby growing inside me (10w7d ATM)

i understand every little pinch, discharge, symptom, or lack thereof brings lots of fear, anxiety and stress.. I've had it all, but I find you truly enjoy it if you try your best to let go and let Mother Nature/your body take control.

Something to cheer the mood and make you laugh if you like... I just spent the last half hour in tears and laughing I googled "I'm pregnant and hate my husband" (cos you know mood swings and hormones can do that to you) and some of the crazy stories that come up had me in stitches. Poor men!

Anyhoo, ow, just wanted to try share some positivity!
Be grateful for the experience you have been given as there are many people who only dream of being in this position, it's hard in the first tri with all the adjustments, but thinking of the future can control the crazy!

Hi! I don't have a particular anecdote to add and the other threads don't bother me or impact my personal level of positivity but I think it's a lovely idea to have a fun, upbeat thread

    Thanks ladies for joining in.

hopefaithbelieve that is so wonderful for you after TTC for what I can imagine would have felt like a lifetime!-

Carmelquoll- I got all emotional when watching cloudy with a chance of meatballs 2....LOL...

I am in a wedding party in April (matron of honor) I had a small freak out because we have ordered the dresses and I couldn't remember if it was a babydoll style..so I sent her a txt saying what happens if I don't fit into it because I have a huge stomach by then and she replied with...your tummy will be a small bump but your boobs will be massive....I already am a 12 DD...so who knows whether they will fit into the size 10 dress might I add....hahaha. I will have some pretty mean cleavage going on

I like the idea of this thread! I prefer to be around positive people than freaking out!

This is the first pregnancy for my husband and I. So everything is really new and exciting for us. My funny story is about my raging hormones and emotional reactions.eg., out grocery shopping I will hear certain songs and be teary and laughing at myself at the same time. Also I was in tears watching the documentary about secret life of dogs and seeing the puppies and assistance dogs. My husband was like wtf!

Haha Quoll, that's awesome! I've had a stressful week too for non pregnancy reasons so trying to lay low. Things are looking up though.

My doctor didn't want me get a dating scan until 7-8 weeks for the very reasons you mentioned so I'm booked in for 3 rd of feb which should give us a good look at everything. So excited for it, I can't wait!

Can't say I've noticed anything quite as nasty as you mentioned! Some people eh?

Neeka! What a great idea. Positive threads are the best. Everyone needs a vent once in a while but then again everyone needs to look at how lucky we all really are once in a while too!

Hopefaithbelieve, what a journey you have been through! Congratulations on your little bean and I'm so in awe of the strength you must have possessed to travel down such a long road. I also have an IVF bub on board. The hormones get to me too! I've all of a sudden got a very large distaste for the human race - then I'm crying over an ad for cordial.

JCT I'm sure it won't be long until you have many stories of your own to add. I'm glad things are just cruising along for you, it's what we all want!

Quoll, I understand what you mean about other people stressing you out! We went out to dinner with my SIL a few weeks ago and her two kids were being terrors and she said to me "say goodbye to having a nice dinner ever again" and laughed at DP and I. DP (same-sex couple) has worked in the toddler room of a childcare and has been around children her whole life with 2 brothers younger then her. One 10 years her junior and another 16 years her junior so she just smiled back and said "we'll see". I'm going batty hearing all these stories about how hard it's going to be!

    Strawberry blonde,
feel no shame crying at crazy things! Refer to my story about about the cordial ad! I can't wait to have this bubba and all my hormones go back to normal. Sometimes I'm so hormonal I think my head is going to pop right off my shoulders.

AFM - This is our baby number 1 and we couldn't be happier! We don't want to hear about how we're never going to get any sleep. We don't want to hear about how we need to train the dogs not to savagely maul our bubba, we know our dogs and they will protect and love our baby! We know we won't sleep. We. dont. care. We know that it will test our patience and our relationship. We. can. handle. it. We are 31 weeks pregnant with a little baby girl who is already loved so, so, so much. Got nothing nice to say? Then shush!

So great to see all you wonderful ladies posting in here

I just watched hotel Transylvania and got teary in that...oh dear lord. I find it so amazing that our bodies can do this to us. Our poor husbands and partners don't know what they are getting themselves into
