I've had massive struggles trying to lose weight in between cycles. I just can't drop it. I have also gotten a chest infection after esch failed cycle. I've gained 6 kg in 9 months and nothing will shift it.

So I think getting as healthy as you can before pumping you body full of hormones is the best way to go!

@Bettie hi Bettie and welcome, it sure ain't easy, but we just have to stay focused and do the best we can to create an optimal healthy body for our IVF. Well that's what I'm in the process of doing before my FET in the coming months. How is things with you are you doing any exercise or??

I was at Christmas but stimming this cycle has been rough. So haven't done much for the last 2 weeks. Just 15 - 20 min walks each day

I have been the same except minus the stimming, had to put my FET back till march/April. I was supposed to start on Wednesday but I think that's why I have been over eating. I do find the walking really helpful too I walk every morning but it's the eating I can't control at the moment

Struggling still. It's excuse after excuse. I've been ill with a nasty bronchitis & have been so sick. Finally went for a walk two nights ago with DH & am feeling so proud of myself. Small victories I guess. You girls are inspiring me & keeping me honest though. So thanks :-)

@ertgirl keep going hun, it's a up/down process and just stay focused. It's definitely not easy. I've had a bad two weeks and is slowly getting back into it.

How is everyone going? I'm getting back into it and on track this week... Finally. Went to weigh in with my doctor and have gained 300grams.

But I have a SIL who is trying to sabotage me!! Last night she brought over a whole lunchbox full of fresh homemade choc chip cookies! And because I said no I didn't want one... She then brought over cheesecakes and practically tried to force me to eat it... As I said no, I'm ok thanks, She then said oh I've left yours in the fridge for you. I mean really does she not understand NO for an answer. She lives next door as well but sleeps over with my BIL.

She has seen me in the mornings for the past 2 weeks, working my butt on the treadmill as she goes to work in the mornings. I feel so much better not eating her food and decided to bake some healthy banana choc chip muffins yum.

Welcome @NessyNoodle867, you're on the Sydney thread with me and I responded to your q's about westmead. I might be able to make it easier for your decision re clinic, westmead won 't let you start till your bmi is under 35. I'm at 32 and was lucky my fertility specialist didn't check before letting me cycle as her cut off is 30!

AFM well my glute is still strapped and I'm not allowed to exercise, not even walking on the treadmill, I am so bummed! I'm doing the 5:2 diet, so hoping that will help me keep it off even if I don't lose anything. When I spoke to my FS yesterday about my upcoming cycle she was surprised I'd managed to lose weight let alone not put any on since I've been on dhea for over a month. She is worried when I start stimming and go on prednisolone for my immune issues I'll put weight on for sure. I'm going to be taking saizen again(human growth hormone to help with egg quality) and suffered from really puffy ankles last time!

My second wedding anniversary is Monday, I thought I'd have a bub in my arms by then.

Thanks @Chiefsgirl me to I thought the same our second Wedding Anniversary was September last year... Congrats on 2 years!!!

Awww ok that helps I'm not sure about Next Gen she hasn't said anything but maybe that's why she's telling me to loose the weight I dunno!!

Not exercising would be killer esp if u are trying to loose the weight even if ur strapped like that just an inconvenience how long does it have to stay on for

I go back to Physio tmw but he said no exercise for 2 weeks!

I think most FS will want you to lose weight before ivf, if nothing else just so you can be fit enough to handle the ivf drugs as they do take a toll on your body, your tummÿ will bloat, you'll get headaches and will be really tired.one of the best things is training yourself to drink at least 3ltrs of water a day. It will help with the headaches and is great for weight loss too. I put lemon or lime slices in a jug with some mint and leave it on my desk at work, that way I can track how much I'm drinking. And it's nicer than just plain water.
