Doesn't sound very pleasant for him ertgirl ouch.. Hope the talk goes in your favour on Saturday though!!

Question? From the moment of your first appointment how long did it take to actually get started? Can my doctor do all the blood work first so I don't have to wait around for results and more appointments? DH has super swimmers and besides my weight I'm fairly healthy.

We got started pretty quickly, although ours was an issue with DH (zero sperm count!!!). We had our 1st procedure within about 10 days of seeing our FS (that was just a Tese for DH to find out if there were any sperm hiding in the testes, which there were, thank God.) and then it was just a case of waiting for my next cycle & starting all my injections etc. We fell our 1st cycle (full stim), but had a miscarriage, no luck our 2nd cycle (FET), then our 3rd cycle (FET) resulted in our DS who is nearly 1.

I think it's best to wait for the FS to do all the tests; as they run a zillion tests & are specialised in that area.

Hi ladies, your topic jumped out at me as I'm trying to lose weight before my next cycle in a cpl of months (4 cycles last yr put some weight on me!).

I thought I'd just jump in to say, with my first FS appt, when I called to make the appointment I asked for a list of her standard blood tests they like to do and they sent them out to me. I went to my gp and got them done, and had a copy sent to the FS. That way she had our results for our first appointment. So if, you ask when you call for your first appointment (you normally have to wait a few weeks to get in anyway), you can have the results back to the FS before you go there. Saves a bit of time.

@ertgirl your definitely more than welcome to join in ! fingers crossed for you with your talk with DH just go through all your baby pics of your first bub that should get him clucking hahaha and yes i may have already used the "i have to have a needle through my vagina! line against DP a couple of times during convos re: how difficult it will be for him to "jizz in a cup" ha! men always think they have the rough end of the stick tho i must admit i think DP would die if he had to have his sperm extracted through his testicles.. hes so precious about them
@BabyG4 thanks for the book recommendation i shall have a look at it!! and yes ive regretted my tubes being tied from as soon as i recovered from my c sect.. i felt like a broken woman it really depressed me alot even when i was adamant i didnt want more babies i still hated the feeling of knowing i couldnt even if i wanted to if that makes sense...
@Chiefsgirl welcome to you also! its great to have a few more people in here to share the journey with!! thanks for the tips re:testing also, could be handy for us as we will be travelling approx 3 hours to see the FS when we go

As for me! looking forward to sunday thats my weigh in day.. hoping to see some results tho im sure it wont be as big as last time as that was a few weeks worth!!

maybe we could start a weeky weigh in report or something?

    hope your all doing well

@FuzzyLlamas I think a weigh in report would be great. I weigh in on Sundays too. Good luck for weigh in tomorrow.

AFM: I haven't exercised for the last two days been a bit lazy and tired. But went for a 6km walk by the beach this morning. I have about 4kg till I reach my mini goal weight so I hope to reach it by march

I am keen for weekly weigh ins
Most people I speak to regret having a tubal, just wish I had of done more research before I had it done I had 2 horrible pregnancies so just wanted it to be final.

Only 3.5 weeks till my appointment I'm a little nervous but excited too. My only problem is DH might not be able to come to the appointment. Is that ok? Or is it better to take him? He's in the RAAF so works away a bit which looks like he'll be away at the end of feb.

@Chiefsgirl awesome effort and awesome results, well done
@BabyG4 hope the 3.5 weeks go quickly for you and it's depends on how you and DH feel, whatever works best for the both if you

AFM: had a stressful week, whichever meant I are chocolate (naughty naughty) so I gained 1.5kg. Getting back in track now and AF is due today but hasn't arrived so I can start my FET cycle

Ok, I'm happy for a weigh in. (Will be good to keep me accountable.) I'll have to start next week, as we were away last weekend. I'll go weigh myself now & go from there. Eek!!! Wish me luck!

Btw, chat with hubby went really well & we've decided to go ahead! I'm excited now that we've made the decision. Would love for DS to have a sibling.

@ertgirl good luck for weigh in & also glad you and hubby are going ahead, use the excitement as fuel for working hard, how much weight you aiming to lose? I've got about 10kg to lose till my goal weight and 5 kg till my mini goal weight
