Default Losing weight to start IVF?

Hey Everyone I'm new to the forum I'm currently working on losing weight so that we can start IVF either towards the end of the year or next year (which is totally frustrating as I wish we could just start nowwww!!)
I already have children from a previous relationship and had my tubes tied after DD was born in 2009 DP has no children and we want to have one together
We have decided we would prefer to use IVF than a reversal for a couple of reasons.
anyways if there's anyone out there who is currently trying to lose weight to do IFV or losing weight between cycles or whatever I thought it would be great if we could support each other!!!

Hi Fuzzy Llamas I am pretty much in the same boat.. After DD4 I had my tubes tied but have regretted it ever since we did it.
I really want to have IVF now but I want to lose 20 more kgs before we start. I've already lost 27kg from healthy eating, PT and walking/riding daily. With DD1 I started at 60kg and by DD4 I was 117kg so I want to be 70kg by the time we start and continue to exercise and eat right throughout the pregnancy.

Never wait for weight in IVF. Time is your worst enem. I was 130kg when I successfully had my DS. Please don't wait, get cracking.

Most clinics have a BMI limit and won't treat you if over that. I was refused ivf about 7kg over what their acceptable BMI was, so not losing the weight is not an option for some

I have received treatment at Sunshine Coast Ivf, QFG, and monash. No BMI LIMIT at those 3 clinics.

Thank you. Still feel like I've got a while to go but know I'll get there!
My referral has been faxed but still haven't had the call about my appointment yet so I'm only in the early stages of going ahead with IVF.
After I saw everyone saying about BMI last night I went and had a look but their website doesn't state what you need to be.
